This was a magical weekend getaway and excellent place to stay for our visit to Jefferson's Monticello and the city of Charlottesville. There's civil war history here too. Originally, we were going to stay one night but we stayed two nights and we weren't disappointed. The features and accommodations provided by the owner and staff of this historical civil war...

Wow! My husband and I have stayed at over 25 B&B's over the last quarter century. The Boxley Place Inn is one of the nicest we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. A truly lovely home with charm, history and comfort. The hostess, Kim was simply divine. She couldn't have made us more comfortable and welcome. She really knows...

We stayed at the Boxley to attend a wedding on 10/22/16... I must say, it was a very nice home like-experience. Very clean and well kept. If it wasn't so pricey, we would certainly consider staying again. There is Continental breakfast, however, not much to chose from...there where 4 of us... thereby 1 slice of quiche each, so again for...

Lisa...thanks so much for your review! I am really interested in input on all aspects of the Inn. I have been thinking about the breakfast issue. Can you give me an idea of what else would enhance our continental style breakfast? We have discussed hard boiled eggs....and obviously we did not have the right quantity of the quiche! I apologize....

What a beautiful, historical home that is now a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. We stayed here this past weekend while attending a family wedding. We were greeted upon arrival and given a brief tour of the house. Beautiful, comfortable sitting rooms and a large fromt porch to sit on and read or enjoy a nice glass of wine, while enjoying...

Quiet and filled with historic Southern Charm down to every detail. If you like all the comforts of home in a stately Southern atmosphere, this is the place for you. Very authentic with beautiful wood floors and moldings. HVAC system modern and quiet so you are in comfort at all times. Good breakfast and lots to read about the area...

It is our total pleasure to have guests enjoy the building and the culture here in the rural.... but still sofisticated..... Central Virgina area. Thanks!

I felt like I was at home, but waaaay better. Amazing place, wonderful views and comforts. Comfy beds, plush towels, hot water, wifi, cable, firepit out back, cards, chess, magazines, books, anazing patio and deck views. This is my first of many times here.

The Boxley Place Inn is a charming and comfortable historically-restored home. It was restored and is owned and run by a Boxley descendant, a prominent Virginia family. There are family memorabilia and artifacts throughout this lovely home. Each bedroom is decorated in period furnishings and the attention to detail is remarkable. Every morning we woke to the aroma of freshly-brewed...

This was my first visit, but my husband's second. He had told me how wonderful the Inn was and he did not lie. The old house is full of antiques, and the Inn is dog friendly. The continental breakfast was nice and filling. Would definitely go back.

This stay was truly like being back in time. A big beautiful old house with all the comforts. Our host, Kim, was very informative. She even set the table in the evening for our take out dinner. If ever we are in that area again, we will definitely stay at the Boxley Place Inn.

Boxley Place Inn is a very clean and organized home. It’s like being at Grandma’s. Go through the photo albums and don’t forget to visit with Butterfly the goat. Staff is excellent.
