My wife and I just spent one evening with dinner and breakfast. We visited here several times 20 years ago under previous owners. The previous owners were visible and hospitable. On this visit was no reception and little real hospitality. The property has declined. The food was acceptable but over priced. We never saw the owners. Do not recommend.

We fell in love with the property at Prospect Hill as soon as we turned down the long driveway toward the plantation. It feels like a step back in time and you can't stop looking everywhere to admire the cottages, the main parlor home and the country landscape. We were greeted warmly and promptly and given a tour along with... More

We were delighted with the wonderful food at Prospect HIl....disappointed that we were not given (or even a mention was made ) the Restaurant Week *promotion...In my opinion, out of town guests should be advised of a promotion...If we had not questioned the quantity of the food we would not have been advised of the promotion...After our first night, we... Driving to Prospect Hill is a treat. The rural countryside and winding road past horse farms helps to prepare you for a different century. Driving up the long boxwood lined driveway with the beautiful yellow plantation at the end is chapter one in a great adventure. "Doc" does a super job sharing the history of the home and property, in... More

From the moment you drive up to this imposing property you will be in Heaven. The rooms are awesome with every facility including complimentary champagne. Great showers and stunning views over the dappled gardens. The food is exceptional. Breakfast is simply a delight and we urge you to stay for one of the famous Prospect Hill evening meals. The Chef... More

We loved our stay here! We now live in Colorado but had lived a number of years in Virginia, and this was the perfect way to capture all that is nice about Virginia's rich history, lovely landscapes, and genteel refinement. The breakfasts were nothing short of spectacular.

Prospect Hill Plantation Inn is a hidden gem located in a peaceful setting. The location is perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life however close enough to Charlottesville and even Richmond for a night out on the town. I would recommend the dinner option during your stay. The wait staff were excellent... More

As well as great amenities and warm and friendly service, this B&B serves fabulous food. For a special occasion the dining experience, itself, would be worth a return visit. The historic nature of this property makes it well worth an overnight stay.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Prospect Hill. The staff was fantastic, the property historic and beautiful, the food exquisite. Without the distractions of most vacation destinations, it allowed my wife and I time to relax, unwind, and reconnect. Magic.

On arrival we were warmly greeted and given a tour of the lovely grounds. We experienced only a few hours of sunny weather, but were able to easily walk the nature trail and play ball with Rocky (the black lab with boundless energy) and get back in plenty of time for dinner. We ate a delicious dinners there both nights... More
