What a wonderful experience! Chris and Linda are the most lovely hosts we could have asked for! They provided stimulating conversation, AMAZING food (fantastic pancakes and THE best omelet I've ever eaten), and the llama trekking was just...perfect. Our (very reasonably priced) room was lovely as well. (We loved the hot tub!) And the scenery, both at Applewood and the...

We spent the weekend for our anniversary and it was wonderful! Chris and Linda were wonderful hosts and made sure we were well taken care of, from the amazing breakfasts to tips about what to do in the area. The llama trek was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed quiet days on the property as this is a wonderful...

You go for the Llamas. You go for the outdoors. You go for the solitude. You go to get away. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very good. The Innkeepers are very personable. Overall very fun trip with great photo opportunities of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Llamas.

Although this b and b is a little off the beaten path, it's worth the drive. About 5 miles outside of Lexington (of which, 3 of those miles are on gravel road), It is situated in the soft, rolling hills of southwest Virginia. We had a comfortable room with an attached bath. This place is not glitzy, but, oh so...

My mom and I recently stayed at Applewood Inn on one of our mother-daughter weekend getaways and truly enjoyed every aspect of our stay with Linda & Chris. Prior to our arrival, Linda was very prompt to respond to any questions about our stay and upon our arrival Chris gleefully greeted us at our car and welcomed us inside. We...

Everywhere we looked in this hidden treasure of a B & B, there are thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome and comfortable! Our hosts were delightful. The coffee and GF pumpkin pancakes were wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I came here for long Labor Day weekend, traveled from Virginia Beach. We left early am, and hit Crabtree Falls, a 2 mile hike up the mountain beside a glorious waterfall. We then drove to see Natural Bridge, also well worth the visit. We checked in about 4pm, the owners are very kindly and gracious. We had...

The Applewood B&B is awesome! The owners, Chris and Linda, are gracious hosts and make you fee like you are staying with family. The Inn is well laid out, tastefully decorated and very neat and clean. The breakfasts were awesome...both Linda and Chris are excellent cooks. :-) The pool was especially inviting...and kid approved. An added treat is Linda's watercolor...

A wonderful and memorable countryside experience. The inn isn't terribly far from Route 11, but we never would have know it after driving down a couple miles of gravel road past an idyllic stream. Once we reached the flower-covered grounds, the only sound you could hear was the calm of a beautiful summer day. The inn itself is very charming,...

My husband and I stayed in the European room for a long weekend... it was great! We couldn't have asked for more. The inn keepers made us feel comfortable and the other guests were great. I love how this inn only has 3 rooms - all of us guests were well acquainted by the end of the weekend. The European...

“European room - you get the hot tub, but it is a small room Quilters - much bigger and brighter, and if someone isn't in the European room you can use the tub. Third room is on the next floor up so not as much privacy, but it is massive. Also dog friendly.”
