Amazing staff, impeccable service, and gorgeous views add up to just an overall fantastic experience. Stayed two nights as BnB guests before friends booked the entire inn for their wedding and both experiences were memorable. Food was very good, both breakfast and dinner, and the switch over to catering was seamless. Jamie, the proprietor, is a rock star, and will...

I stayed at the House Mountain Inn the weekend just following Thanksgiving and found it to be the perfect late autumn getaway. The property is attractive, inviting, and cozy. The hiking trail on the property leads to stunning views and the man made pond adds to the sense of mountain serenity. My room was extremely spacious with a four poster...

My husband and I spent two nights during the middle of the week at House Mountain Inn. The first night we were the only guests, but by the time we left a couple of days later, on a Friday, the place was warming up for a wedding over the weekend. We enjoyed two dinners and two breakfasts at the Inn,...

A friend booked the cabin for a mini sorority reunion this weekend and it could not have been more perfect. This is a great place to go if you ever want to be off the grid for a little while. Getting to the cabin can be a bit daunting, as its only access is a winding gravel road (a sturdy...

Holy moly...where to begin?? My wife and I agreed this was by far our favorite place we stayed on our honeymoon. The location is excellent, about 15 minutes from Lexington (great little town) and tucked away in the mountains. The Inn itself is gorgeous if you like anything from quintessential Virginia to the old West. The Little House Mountain room...

We attended a family wedding and had the whole place to ourselves. It really is a lovely place, very rustic and also very modern. The room has everything you would want including a Hot Tub on the balcony. The facilities are good, from the internal dining room to the outside balcony where refreshments were served. The owner runs around and...

I recently visited the House Mountain Inn for my cousin's wedding this past weekend. The location is GORGEOUS! The Mountain Inn has a rustic feel however the amenities are anything but, comfy beds, awesome sheets, (I wanted to take them home!). But what really makes this place in my opinion exceptional was the friendly, hard working, and easy going staff....

I will start with the positive aspects of our visit. Beautiful area, nice decks, nice grounds, fantastic views. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was decent, nice afternoon wine and cheese, quiet, peaceful. That said, it was not the best B&B experience we've had. When we arrived there was no one there to check us in. We...

My husband and I stopped here for some R-n-R after 5 days of primitive camping and before more camping. ( my idea of course being he can sleep on a rock for a month straight with no problem.) He's 100% man's man and had never been in a bed n breakfast before, so he couldn't see the positive when seeing...
