We stayed here the night before hiking to the VA high point. Early November, and they said they would not be home when we arrived. We would have appreciated a note when we checked in, as we were not sure when breakfast was and didn't know if the area downstairs was a common room or just for their family. Also...

We spent one night here in late September. We were there to meet our son who was hiking the AT. The accommodations were as described - comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good - portions could have been larger. Thanks for hospitality.

Melissa, the special hostess for the Dancing Bear, has truly studied the B&B's! She has everything especially planned for the traveling adventurer. Flashlight on keys, listing of channels for TV, special shampoo & body wash, towels especially for the bike trail muds and a wonderful breakfast before you leave for the mountains. Stay at the Dancing Bear-you will enjoy the...

They were very accommodating to our needs as cyclists with storage for our bicycles and great food for our stomachs. Shannon provided insightful advice for our next days ride. We were...

We loved Dancing Bear. This was our first trip to Damascus; we stayed in Papa Bear, which is the downstairs unit of one of the buildings at the back of the property. It is spacious, with a small kitchen (microwave, fridge, and sink) and bath, and a very large bedroom. It was very quiet; no traffic noise. There is a...

This was a really nice place and Melissa was on top of it all. She was very friendly, low key and helpful when we asked. She has lots of information to share, but does not overburden you with something you do not need or ask for. Rooms were nice, clean and just as expected. Food was excellent and more than...

We have been staying at Dancing Bears B&B for the past year. We have stayed several times in the fall and summer months. Melissa and Shannon, owners of Dancing Bears B&B, treat you like family. Melissa prepares a wonderful breakfast and it is different each morning. She always serves fruit and yogurt which we love with the breakfast main dish....

My family and I come to Damascus every year to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail with several other families. We always stay at Dancing Bear. Melissa and Shannon are laid back and accomodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great! We rent our bikes from Steve at the Bike Station. Make sure to visit Backbone Rock!

Melissa and Shannon went out of their way to make my stay memorable. Food was great, accommodations comfy, and questions about area answered readily . I asked about hiking and biking near town, and Shannon had interesting stories about the area. If I were to return, I would stay there. Is on the main street in town, walking distance to...
