Very comfortable homey inn in the center of Clifton Forge. Surprising good restaurants just a few blocks away. Wonderful friendly owner who keeps the place immaculate. Comfortable rooms and beds. Only a few private baths but the shared baths are clean with plenty of towels, etc. A nice alternative to the truck stop style motels down the road. Much better...

I stayed 2 nights while in town for business. The king bedroom with the private bath was perfect! Donna, the innkeeper was friendly, and offered excellent recommendations for dining.I felt right at home and will definitely stay here again next year when in town for business. I live 2 hours away and can't wait to come visit again with my...

I traveled here for business and I am so pleased that I stayed! The staff were wonderful and genuinely concerned with making sure their guests enjoyed their stay! I was traveling with my dog, and they were great at suggestions on places to walk while enjoying the town! The next time I am in town I plan on staying again!

We love this place! It's like being at home. Joann the owner is wonderful! She's so helpful and a great hostess. Great location to walk in downtown. Loved the Keurig & all the selections of coffee & creamers for breakfast.

The towels are plush. Some rooms have...

Been several years for the Christmas open homes. Always love sitting outside on the upper porch that is heated. Yes 3 rooms upstairs share a bathroom but never noticed a problem. There is one room upstairs that has its own bathroom. A bedroom downstairs that has a bathroom that other guests could use...again never seemed to b a problem! Beds...

We just had the most wonderful and welcoming experience at The Red Lantern Inn! We had 6 adults and two small children in our group. Staying here was just like being in your own home but even better in this beautifully renovated 100 year old building. There was plenty of room to stretch out and relax when we had time...

We went for a weekend away and to take an art class at the local Art School. The Red Lantern Inn is not your usual B&B-- though it does provide a bed and breakfast. Most of the folks who were there were return visitors who had family or some other connection to the town (one was the Executive of a...

The Red Lantern Inn is such a welcoming place! We loved the open access to the whole house, and the feeling of plenty. Bedrooms are so well decorated and comfortable. We slept deeply. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast foods, fruit, and coffee, and we were invited to help ourselves any time of the day or night. Clifton Forge...

What a wonderful stay at the Red Lantern Inn, it really couldn't have been better. As someone who has severe allergies (especially to animals), I was thrilled to see how CLEAN the house was. It is clear that a lot of time, energy, and money is put into maintaining the home. My family and I rented out the entire home...
