I took my wife and adult daughter to Chincoteague Island as a getaway for a weekend. We booked the hotel because it was the least expensive place on the island and we were on a budget. My first clue not to get my hopes up too high was that is was consistantly the only hotel on the island with a...

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights last month and fell in love with the island again! The Chincoteague Inn is a simple local hotel. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was a good size and equipped with a fridge which was handy. The location was convenient to everything.

Remember in college when you had no money? This is a great place for you. Also great for budget minded folks. Or smokers. Stayed one night on the way to OBX. Actually I slept in the car bc I couldn't sleep in the room. The facilities themselves are decent. It's the guests that stay here. My room smelled like smoke....

This travel loving family of three took off without booking anything in advance. Our Maryland Eastern Shore adventure led us to Chincoteague, VA for the first time. The visitor's center was very helpful. True Southern hospitality! However, after trying to book a room with no less than six hotels we gave up. After driving around for just a bit, we...

My 12-year-old daughter and I stayed here for a week and had a great time! The price could not be beat anywhere on the island (unless you camped out with the mosquitoes -- skeeter meter: 10/10.) In fact, the price was so low, I was terrified to stay here. So maybe that's why I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was...

The staff was very nice and I realize that all hotels go up in price during Pony Penning, but the one was way over priced. The toilette would flush unless the next person waited at least 10 min. in between. front door was not sealed you could see daylight around the whole door. And even though the room looked clean,...

Our room was clean and has all the basic hotel amenities. However, the room was dated and we could hear noise from upstairs several times after midnight. If you just need a place to shower and sleep after a day at the beach, this is a good choice given the location and the price.

We love Chincoteague but not the Chincoteague Inn. In serious need of renovations. Bed was very uncomfortable and we could smell cigarette smoke coming from somewhere all night our last night there. We will plan better the next visit to Chincoteague and stay either at a condo vacation rental or other places we've enjoyed in the past that were not...

Originally reserved to stay here for 3 nights because it was the only hotel available during the pony swim for the nights we needed. Could only bare to stay one night. The smell of mildew/mold was so overwhelming I was unable to sleep. The front desk offered to move us to another room but the 2 they showed us were...
