We have been enjoying our annual wedding anniversary trips to the Silver Thatch Inn for 9 years now. We love our room, the beauty of the Inn and its property and Terri's warmth and graciousness. We look forward to our visit every year and always find something new to do in Charlottesville or a new winery to visit. Hats off...

Stayed in the main house which was beautifully decorated for the holiday season! The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating, warm and friendly! Very good location - a quick ride to downtown Charlottesville.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in a cozy, comfortable room. The breakfasts were world class and served by friendly staff or the Inn keeper herself. Terri went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed to make our stay unequaled. We look forward to a return trip.

Teri was great to chat with and makes a wonderful & delicious, well-balanced breakfast! It was fun to be in the separate house which had its own coffee machine. The step ladder to our VERY COMFY poster bed was an helpful asset!

We've reached the point where having all of the kids together with us is unusual. A rare treat. But we had three nights to get away with the kids and we spent it at The Silver Thatch Inn. It was the perfect home base for us as we explored historic Charlottesville. The rooms were lovely and Terri was the perfect...

My wife and I recently spent two nights in the Jefferson Room at the Silver Thatch Inn. The Inn is now our #1 spot to stay in Charlottesville. Thanks to owner Terri's attention to every detail in caring for the guest and her Inn, we had a fantastic time. Our room was comfortable and spacious with lots of windows; the...

Needed to escape from DC and see the Virginia countryside. Great place to relax and to get out sightseeing around Charlottesville. Great access and calm retreat after a busy day at historic sites, wineries, and breweries. Quiet room, comfortable relaxation, and great service.

Thank you so much! We are definitely Colonial with the original Hessian room dating to 1780. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It was a pleasure meeting you both. (And the photo is wonderful! Thank you!)

After many large impersonal hotels in our history it was a pure joy to spend a weekend in this charming and cozy inn. Terri, the owner, makes sure that that your every wish is attended to. We will ALWAYS stay here when we are in Charlottesville!!!

Made to feel very welcome. Terri was a splendid host, very personable with a plethora of information and advice about the surrounding area. Fortunately when we were there evening snacks were available, but not sure if this is always the case.

Thank you! I so appreciate your feedback. You must have been with us a night when Iggy's Wine & Brew Pub was open (Thurs-Sat), and offers 4 items for a light nosh. I often offer fruit & cheese with my compliments as well. A perfect opportunity for guests to chat. I'm looking forward to your next visit!
