We spent one night at the charming inn and can highly recommend it. The room was spacious as was the bath and I enjoyed siping a little Madeira after dinner! The food was excellent and served on such a pretty terrace . Coffee has never tasted better and I asked what kind they used so I could duplicate. You will... More

Tucked just a short drive outside of down town, the Clifton Inn is a true Gem. Between the local winery's and the well landscaped secluded grounds of the inn, the setting is picture perfect. I want to get married again just so I can have a grand party in their gardens. The back drop is magazine ready. Our room was... More

I had a beautiful stay. The concierge at check in was welcoming and took me to my room, the Keswick suite. She also helped me arrange dinner plans since the restaurant was closed when I stopped by. The room was well appointed, with a comfortable bed and an excellent bathtub. A decanter of Madeira was also provided-well-played, Clifton Inn, well-played.... More

My wife and 7mo and I stayed here. We're glad we did, it's a quiet area with beautiful peaceful grounds but still close to town. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was great, they had a nice bar at the main farmhouse too. The rooms had some extra touches that we weren't expecting that made it even... Stayed one night, delightful place with very welcoming staff. Beautiful room with the most comfortable bed. Enjoyed the spa, breakfast was simple, yogurt, fruit and pastries. Loved the place. Would definitely stay there again, only for a longer stay!

Beautiful place and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Never expected to find such a great deal in Charlottesville at last minute but so glad I called them! Wonderful dinner and relaxed in the hot tub afterwards🍾. Room was awesome and relaxed on the back porch in the morning! 😊

This was a great midweek couples get away. We spent our evenings in the spa tub and infinity pool complete with waterfalls. The luxurious linens and comfortable bed made for wonderful sleep. I especially liked the antiques and original artwork in the room. The Inns grounds were beautifully landscaped except the backyard view from the restaurant. I assume a wedding... More

My mother always said if you didn't have anything nice to say then don't - enough said! Don't try the Chef's table - what a fiasco that was and a very expensive let down. Apparently I have to say something - the room was decent although you could hear every word from next door very clearly!- the toilet malfunctioned continually... More

We stayed at the Clifton Inn for a wedding and although the wedding itself was really beautiful, setting included, the actual rest of our stay was rather haphazard and not what you would expect for the price you pay. This is a guest house at best, very much NOT a hotel but it's charging high prices for what's on offer.... More

My wife kindly booked a night and a meal to celebrate my birthday. Everything about the Clifton Inn proved delightful. An extraordinary dinner and a delightful breakfast. Friendly and helpful chats with staff members. A beautiful pool set amid beautiful grounds. And a spacious room with a great shower amid a quiet, restful atmosphere. The only regret: we had to...
