We found this B&B on the internet and booked it on the recommendations of others writing reviews here. We were more than pleased with the accomodations. Some very nice touches by the owner. We enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and fresh bread. This was a convenient location for us to do a variety of activities. A great value.

My wife and I booked the smaller room for 3 nights. The room is very clean and nicely furnished and everything seems quite new. We were happy with breakfast each morning using the provided eggs, bread, milk and coffee. We had a good time feeding the chickens each morning before heading out for the day (we spent time in Shenandoah...

We booked Room 1, which is larger, for two nights while attending my nephew’s graduation from Miller School of Albemarle. The school is just five minutes away from the B&B. Location made it very convenient to come back to rest between the different activities. The room was nicely decorated and the small kitchen area was great for preparing breakfast: fresh...

We booked both rooms for UVA graduation weekend and -- to echo the review of the family that stayed at Rooster Hill last year at this time -- it was the perfect choice. It provided the ideal setting for our family to gather and celebrate the occasion. The setting is idyllic, Dina and Larry are the perfect hosts and the...

Spent 9 nights and enjoyed it a lot. I will ditto previous comments. Innkeepers were very friendly and had the right balance of leaving you alone and chatting if you wanted to. We had special needs, an elevated toilet for my Mom, and a travel wheelchair, hosts Larry and Dina found them for us. Having our own little kitchen for...

Completely enjoyed our stay! We arrived about the 3rd week of October, which was just about peak for fall colors. We stayed in Room 1 which was a bit larger and had a beautiful private porch overlooking a wooded hillside. The room was very clean and modern. The fresh eggs, bread, juice, and coffee were a great start to each...

We had an excellent stay this fall. There is so much room in the newly remodeled basement including a kitchen. The fresh eggs and bread were a good start to the day. Throughly enjoyed.

We spent three nights at Rooster Hill and were very pleased. It's incredibly quiet, in the country. You really can feed the chickens and gather eggs for breakfast. Don't be fooled, it's not an old farmhouse. It's a modern, clean home with two guest rooms in the lower level. Very nice and private. The only downside is if you like...

Larry and his wife, Dina (sp?), were great. Their recommendations for restaraunts and things to do were spot on. The home is located about 15 minutes outside of Charlottesville, but an easy drive. Our room was very large, we had our own kitchenette and outside seating area. They do not serve breakfast in the morning, however you are provided with...

We had a great room, and Larry was a warm host. We took him up on a recommendation and checked out a local Brewery w/ a great view. We'd highly recommend this place. Also be sure to check out the historic home next door, great, informal tours given by the owner there. He's also named Larry.
