Booked one night for girls' trip to see a concert at UVA. Location is perfect-within walking distance of campus and the concert venue. What could be a perfectly ordinary property is made memorable by the decor and the staff. Word is, this used to be a Howard Johnson hotel (!). I would never have guessed that! Modern, without being austere....

I had a client staying at the Graduate Hotel - car transportation fell through but the Front Desk staff (Tiffany specifically!!) was extremely helpful. She was able to contact another car service, which arrived at the hotel within 15 minutes. The hotel staff was also very patient and kind, even though I kept putting her on hold and calling her...

She will be so pleased to hear these kind words. If your travels do...

The rooms were super comfortable and reasonably quiet. (A room near us had a dog that barked incessantly while it's owners were out during the afternoon.) The hotel rooftop bar was a perfect place to meet up with friends and enjoy the beautiful weather and a local libation. The lobby coffee shop also served excellent coffee, drinks and nibbles. We...
