My husband and I stayed here for an overnight anniversary getaway, and I can honestly say it was even better than I expected (and I already had high hopes)! We had originally tried to book the Dinsmore room, but as chance would have it, someone else made the reservations mere moments before we could confirm, so we went with the...

We stayed at the Dinsmore House this past weekend while in C'ville for the Harvest Heritage Festival at Monticello. This was a very convenient, comfy and great place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and the extras-cheese, fruit, wine at happy hour were enjoyable. Why stay at the marriott (which is next door) when you can enjoy the comforts of...

I booked this B&B 2 weeks before our first trip to Charlottesville. I researched a number of others but this one had a room available the weekend we wanted, was within our budget and had a great location! I did not go on Trip Advisor before I booked it. We were only able to get a room for one night,...

My husband and I spent two nights at the Dinsmore House for our anniversary. We love Charlottesville and like to walk around the town. The Dinsmore has an awesome location and we were able to walk everywhere. The room was nice and they even had a white noise machine that was much appreciated. Breakfast was incredible! One morning they made...

We stayed at the Dinsmore House for 4 nites recently and found it to be a lovely place to stay not to mention a perfect locale. You are in the heart of the UVA campus and just a short distance from the Pedestrian Mall with lots of restaurants and shops. The only drawback was the construction that is being done...

This inn was so nice. The staff and owners were great. Every convenience was provided and we felt very much at home here. We stayed in the Madison room and loved it. The bed and bedding were wonderful and it was a nice location away from the street. The only small problem we had was the shower: first of all,...

Our first visit to C'ville and didn't know if we should stay outside of town or in. Glad we chose Dinsmore, what a great location to work all of town. University of Virginia is just to your left, downtown just to the right and a free trolley is less than a block away to take you downtown. Chose the Veranda...

The Dinsmore House was everything it was advertised as and more. It was clean and friendly. The breakfasts were delicious. On our first day it rained and they event lent us an umbrella. Once the staff heard it was our honeymoon, they even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. When I go back to Charlottesville, I'm staying at...

My husband found this B&B on TripAdvisor and we decided to give it a try. We loved everything about it. Gail, the owner was just wonderful. So welcoming and friendly without being too obtrusive. We loved our room--we had a private entrance to the street. The breakfast room was so lovely and breakfast was absolutely delicious (eggs benedict, bacon, homemade...

The Dinsmore House is really lovely - well maintained, comfortable and friendly. It is right across from the Rotunda / UVA Medical Center and close to the historic downtown areas. Despite the house facing a rather busy street, the rooms were quiet - a bit bright with some nearby parking lot lights at night - but otherwise lovely. The food...
