My sister-in-law and I went on a surprise birthday celebration for my Mother-in-law. We stayed at the Hen House which was separate from the main bed and breakfast. It was so cozy and warm and we loved staying there! Everything had been renovated and the finished were beautiful but still rustic, which we loved. Mike and Tonya were wonderful hosts... More

Tanya and Mike welcomed us as soon as we parked. They provided a tour of the place and provided background on the history of the house. We enjoyed a nice walk on their property, which includes a trail that leads to a lake, farm and church. Breakfast both days was wonderful, and Tanya and Mike were wonderful hosts. The B&B... More

My two daughters and I stayed for two nights while we explored the Richmond area. We didn't want to stay right in the city and chose to be about 30 minutes away in a beautiful setting. We stayed in the Chickahominy Suite and it was comfortable, spacious, incredible beds, warm and toasty. The hosts, Mike and Tanya, are kind and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as a base for visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. It is in a very peaceful rural location but is an easy 30 minutes drive from the tourist sites and 5 minutes drive from a good local restaurant (Blue Heron). The period farmhouse was charming and our room was spacious and comfortable. Mike and Tania... More

We have stayed at many B&Bs around Canada and the US and The Bed and Breakfast at Peace Hill is our new favourite! We stayed for 4 nights in June and found Mike and Tanya to be exceptional hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them each morning at breakfast and they are very knowledgeable about the area. Dr. Bauer, who... More

When we arrived Tanya and Mike met us on the front porch. Both of them very friendly and welcoming. They showed us around and gave us all the information we needed. We had been sight seeing all day and were getting tired, however we walked around on the property, and it was beautiful and peaceful. Tanya fixed us a picnic... More

Even though we only had a brief overnight stay at Peace Hill B&B, our hosts Tanya and Mike made us feel quite welcome and comfortable. The home was quite clean and a large portion of it was for us to use (common living, tv areas, etc), as the hosts had a separate living quarter. We had dinner at Blue Heron,... More

Our stay at Peace Hill was perfect in every way. The amenities at this country setting were "peaceful," and first-rate. Four of us cycled from Richmond on the new Virginia Capital to Capital Trail and stayed here for two nights. Mike and Tanya are exceptional hosts and provided for our special needs in cycling packed out. Most special was the... More

Upon hearing that our son and his wife and 6 children were going to visit the Jamestown area for his birthday, my wife and I thought we would surprise them. With the help of our daughter-in-law we arranged to stay at the same place. We arrived a day early, since we had further to go, and are we happy we... More

We will definitely be back! Tanya and Mike were outstanding hosts. We came for a short family vacation to take our 6 kids to Jamestown and Yorktown. The brand new Hen House was available and comfortably accommodated our not-so-small family. Tanya made a delicious birthday meal for my husband, and easily managed our gluten-free request. We enjoyed breakfast (gluten free)... More
