Arrived Friday evening, had a wonderful dinner. We stayed in the Josephine room. The room is well appointed, very well done updated large bathroom all on the second floor. The breakfasts in the morning where fantastic, fresh ingredients, well prepared, great way to start the day.

We are very happy you enjoyed your stay here at our French Country Inn! The chef's are creating some wonderful menus this winter for both breakfast and dinner. It is such a pleasure to hear that you appreciated their efforts. Barbara our breakfast cook, who has been here for over 30 years, prepares the scrumptious breakfast here at the inn...

I spent a couple of days here, mid-week, at the start of the year and it was a nice quiet getaway. It only took me about an hour and fifteen minute drive from where I live, just inside the beltway. I stayed in the Monet room, which was lovely and I enjoyed using the fireplace on a snowy night. The...

Planned to go for lunch but somehow didn't get there until very late afternoon. I think we were the only guests there. The decor is all new, beautiful...very sleek and modern. The bartender waited on us since we sat in the bar area and was VERY knowledgeable about wine and vodka. Gave us samples of a number of his favorite...

We spent Christmas eve and Christmas morning and had a wonderful time! We loved the fireplace in the room and the French food and wine in the restaurant. Do be aware that on the weekends eating at the restaurant is required not optional.

In need of a few days away from the city, we took a midweek break on the recommendation of friends and could not have been happier. Dinner on arrival was superb. Intelligent use of local ingredients to produce creative understated dishes. We stayed in Renoir room, and took great pleasure from the atmosphere provided by the fireplace on a bitterly...

The beautiful Virginia piedmont/valley border surrounds this cozy retreat. It is truly a place where you can put it all behind you and melt into a very home-like embrace. A definite sense of community exudes from the owners, staff, and other guests, which makes it feel less like an inn and more like the beautiful country home of a relative...

We love this place but it is not what it use to be. We book the same room every time - the sheets felt old and used, the bed was simply old and used (you sink to the middle of the bed) yikes! The food was not up to par - lacking in flavor and presentation. You are the judge...

We wanted to celebrate our 20th Anniversary where we got married. We booked early, for ourselves and another couple. We arrived mid-afternoon to a warm welcome and champagne in each room (we had pre-ordered), which we took to the parlour and enjoyed in front of the log fire. After a relaxing steam shower we headed over for dinner, which was...

We came for our 10th Anniversary and had a nice stay. There are a few standouts with our stay and a couple of things that could use some attention to detail. Our room was nice and the bed was comfy. I'm with the other visitor about the toilet paper. For some trips to the bathroom the go green toilet paper...

We are honored to have been a part of your anniversary celebration! We apologize for the snafu with the vase - guests arrangements are placed in vases to be displayed in their room or at the dinner table, but are re-packaged to go at check-out (stems are wrapped with wet paper towels to preserve them for the car ride, and...

This was our Anniversary weekend! A sweet little GetaWay from DC; not too far, and not too expensive.
