This is a wonderful Vermont B&B, pet friendly, warm and inviting. We had a comfortable and spacious king bed room with fireplace and en suite bath. Breakfast was delicious, with several choices made to order. Evening offered coffee, tea or hot chocolate with cookies. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend

I recently spent one night at the Nutmeg on a short visit to Wilmington and had an overall excellent experience. The room (5b) was spacious and comfortable. The electric fireplace in the room is a great touch but no match for the cozy dining room with the real fireplace! Breakfast was delicious. I will definitely return!

I stayed here with my family for five nights for a Mt. Snow ski trip. I was initially drawn to the inn because of its reasonable prices even during the high season and two room suites. It is only 15 min away from the mountain. The inn is from the 18th century and very charming. The innkeepers go out of...

The Nutmeg Inn was fantastic! You can't beat the location. The owner recommended trying a restaurant called the Anchor for dinner (limited options as it was Christmas night) and it was perfect. Our room was simple but cozy - we weren't planning on spending too much time in the room anyway, so that didn't bother us. The best part: the...

My husband and I decided on a whim to go to Vermont, which is one of my favorite places on earth, last weekend. We stayed at The Nutmeg and it was perfect! When we arrived Saturday morning, Shelley informed us that they up upgraded us to a suite, #10. It was so cozy, with a very comfortable "parlor" with overstuffed...

We stayed at The Nutmeg on the first night of our holiday, and were very excited after reading the reviews, seeing the photos online and dealing with the delightful Shelley and Deb before our stay. Unfortunately we didn't arrive at the hotel until 10pm and had to leave the following morning, so we didn't really get a chance to 'experience'...

Thanks so much for your lovely comments Adam, I really appreciate that you took time to leave a review. You're right about the difficulty walking into town from The Nutmeg, that first corner can be a bit tricky so we generally advise against it (we are campaigning for a sidewalk but it looks unlikely at this stage). During the day...

We have arrived a party of six, and immediately Shelly welcomed us and showed us in. The house inside is how I imagine an old English inn: heavy wooden beams, wooden floor with carpets, and a warm feeling of 'welcome home'. Between the rooms, there are comfy family areas with lots of games for both youngsters and adults. When you...

Our trip was a spur of the moment decision. So our choices were limited. We were happy to find that the Nutmeg had availability and that it had really nice ratings, so we did not hesitate to book despite the limited room availability (we typically would have booked a larger room or ground floor). We arrived late afternoon and the...

Thanks so much for your lovely comments and for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate it. When we bought this inn a couple of years ago we did so, in part, to be closer to nature. Well, sometimes nature gets a little too close - as it did that weekend. The squirrels were found and successfully...

My husband and I got a late start on our drive from NH to NY for our Anniversary weekend so wanted a place to stay for the night last minute and Nutmeg was perfect. We called 10 minutes before arriving and someone was there to greet us and check us in. Our room was cozy and clean, the cookies were...

We stayed at the Nutmeg one night. We had a personal greeting and check in was fast and easy. The description and location of the local restaurants was accurate and helpful. Our room was upgaded since it was a week night and they weren't full. Our room was clean and comfortable. It would be great to visit in the winter...
