Dead bugs on the steps walking up to the room, mold in the tub under the bath mat, our feet were black from walking in the room barefoot, broken saddle between rooms with exposed rusty nails, toilet seat needed to be replaced it was old and scratched. Room faced Route 9 and it was very noisy at night, the sound...

The Inn is just lovely. Though hard to believe, It was once a former home! It sits atop a hill and views of the mountains around can be seen from the various terraces. The room we had was large, beautifully furnished and air conditioned! I caught a glimpse of other rooms and they were all handsome. The breakfasts were satisfying,...

From the moment we arrived (greeted with a nasty "may I help you?") to the room (small, dark, no airconditioning, very tiny bath room) to dinner (untrained waitress, modest food) to miserable breakfast (how can you ruin a poached egg?) lack of staff one morning (hostess had to waitress and cook for 14 people) the experience was awful. The owner...

All four of us enjoyed the dinner very much. Service was good and not intrusive. Duckling especially was delicious. Beautiful building and tavern area and stunning view at sunset. A lovely experience all too rare in this area. The gardens and new landscaping are just beautiful. Wine selection was good. For once, I got a Reisling that I could drink....

I traveled to Marlboro for my son's college Graduation in mid-May. I booked a room at the White House Inn specifically since I had been to the Inn a couple of times over the past two years, for lunch and dinner, and for cocktails in their bar which has a fabulous view. Although we loved our room, and received an...

We were on our way to our ski house last month when VT got 53" of snow in four days and we got stuck going up our mountain in a snow bank until midnight. We called The White House and Staci was glad to put us up for the night and even came outside and helped us get our car...

My wife and I had an enjoyable, although brief stay at the White House Inn. Hostess Stacy was very welcoming and very helpful with local information. Our room (#1) was clean and spacious with private bath. A woodburning fireplace created a cozy and romantic setting. We made a fire and it "drew" well. There were four choices for breakfast and...

The White House had been recommended to me by my former boss who had a house in Wilmington. The first time we stayed at the Inn was in 2008, to celebrate my partner's birthday. We stayed three days and had a wonderful time. Last year, we did not go but we made sure to go back this year again (for...

Nesteled on a hill in the small town of Wilmington, Vermont is this wounderful Inn with a breathtaking view of the mountains which is comparable only to viewing a Thomas Kinkade painting of a winter wounderland. Upon arrival we were greeted by Stacy the Innkeeper who welcomed us as if we were family. Our room was magnificent with a wood...
