I will open by saying that all the great reviews are perfectly accurate. The things people are saying they love about this place do really exist and I agree with the other reviewers. However, I will not be returning to West Hill House. There are just a few things that did not fit with my preferences for an overnight stay...

We always appreciate guest feedback. Priss has certainly provided lots of food for thought, as well as our first ever review that is not a 4 or 5 star. Let us start, as she did regarding our other reviews, by saying that most of what she states is true. However let us offer some context, and some clarifications: 1. While...

Everything that a B&B should B. Idyllic setting, amazing hosts who will organize: local scenic routes for you, restaurants for dining, giving local history and tales of beyond especially of Scotland and Canada. Breakfasts to hold you for a whole day all freshly prepared. This place should be your #1 choice in Vermont

Neat summary: "Everything that a B&B should B". Many thanks for that nice turn of phrase and for your gracious praise of our hospitality.

This was the perfect stop on our fall road trip through Vermont. Peter was able to recommend excellent restaurants, drives, and other activities to do while we were there. He even took care of getting us reservations at several local restaurants! Susan's cooking was fantastic and she was very friendly and entertaining after she was done feeding us. If you're...

This was our first time staying at a B and B. Also a retirement fall color road trip for us. Peter and Susan have created the perfect environment on how to "experience Vermont" the way I would think you should. We left with so many memories of our 3 days. I doubt there is another B and B that lives...

Peter & Susan took a special day in our lives and made it into a wedding experience that was absolutely beautiful. Their warm hospitality was at all times genuine, caring and sincere. Our room was private, quite and comfortable. Breakfast was a special time to gather with other guests who very quickly went from strangers to very interesting and friendly...

We like the West Hill B&B so much we returned for our twelfth visit since 2006. As usual, Susan and Peter were gracious and interactive hosts in a non-intrusive way. Their knowledge of the central Vermont area and things to do help guests plan their activities. Our room was cozy with comfortable beds. We enjoy the scenic country roads half...

This is our second visit to the West Hill House. Our first impression was so good we booked another weekend before leaving - this time to do some leaf peeping. The hosts are very knowledgeable and accommodating but don't intrude. Breakfasts are different every time: interesting, delicious, and satisfying. We enjoy the old wood beams in the rooms along with...

I know there must be many great B and B,s in Vermont, but we believe we found a gem near Sugarbush Ski Resort! We spent five nights day hiking Vermont using the West Hill House B&B as our base. The property is charming, clean, quiet and quaint. Though wired for all of your high tech needs, the electronics never get in the way of the natural beauty of the building and grounds. Hosts Peter and Susan are the most attentive innkeepers and very...

As we are close to the Long Trail, which runs along the Green Mountain ridge line, and to several delightful trails in the Mad River Valley itself, our B&B does make an excellent base for a Vermont hiking holiday.
