First, I should start out by saying my standards for hotels are pretty low -- "clean, quiet and safe" sums up my needs. I'm not sure this place meets any of my requirements. I've very happily spent many nights camping so I'm definitely not a luxury needs traveler. i stayed here 9, 10 years ago. At the time it was...

The way I remembered this motel was a decent place to stay with a relaxing pool, that was about 10 years ago. Now the place is run down, not cleaned. I was originally given one of the motel rooms downstairs, however 1 of my children wanted her own bedroom, I requested another room, and was told I can get a...

I think its the worst place in the whole valley. Dirty sheets, smelly towels, whole place smells of chlorine from the pool mixed with a dust smell as I don't think its ever been cleaned. At least when I was there, owners chain smoked so add that smell

I stayed in "the motel", which is the bottom of the rooms upstairs connected by a staircase and a trap door, which is rather bizaar. The pool was unkept, full of bugs and stagnant water, I would never think of going in there and it is not conducive to getting in and out as it is a fenced in with...

We have been going to The Garrison for about 20 years, never wrote a review. It is time, considering some of the other comments we have seen. If you are looking for Ritz-Carlton accommodations where the concierge directs you to a martini bar with finger sandwiches, room service and a scantily clad maid that irons your underwear while you wear...

Me and my family have been coming up to Waitsfield Vermont for over 40 years and are skiiers at Mad River Glen. This time around we stayed at the Garrison. A hotel just a little ways down the road from the ski resort. This hotel accommodates a clean warm pool, apartments/condos, hotel rooms and in the summer tennis courts. It...

Its unfortunate that the reviews I have read are slamming this place. The Garrison is the perfect guys ski trip destination. Its close to Sugarbush, Mad River, Stowe, bars and restaurants. Its spacious. The sheets are clean and the pool is hot (not warm). We had a group of 7 there last weekend and it worked perfect again. I have...

I was blown away by the service at this beautiful vermont resort. First of all the room we stayed in was unbelievable with great views of their spectacular pool and was a real blast to the past when i realized there was a trap door downstairs used during the revolutionary war, which apparently the owner fought in. The lobby was...

Two contractors working on our house stayed here. By the second day they were sick. The entrance to their room was on the bottom floor. On the TOP floor where they had no occasion to go, was one small sign warning not to drink the water or use it to brush teeth. The water is not potable; it contains coliform,...
