I was being recruited by a local company, and in order to help me fall in love with the Mad River Valley, they put me (and my lady) up at the Lareau Farm Inn. They certainly made the right choice. On the day of my interview, we awoke to the smell of freshly baked bread. When we went into the...

This is it-- legit history, cozy furnishings, immaculate rooms, food to please the foodies and outstanding hospitality. I've been twice and enjoy how many of the guest congregate by the fire stove to share stories.

We love our repeat guests! We hope everyone enjoys being here as much as we do. We know we live in a special place - The Mad River Valley! Each season has it's own great moments. Lisabeth - Innkeeper

The Lareau Farm Inn is just an amazing place to stay! I have stayed there countless times and each time it just gets better and better. Lisabeth (and Dave) truly are the best and food is divine! I highly recommend the Lareau Farm. You will not find me staying anywhere else! Thank you!

I've been staying here for years now with various members of my expanding family. First with Susan and for the last 8(?) years with Lisabeth as the innkeeper. I cannot recommend it enough. The best value for money in the valley combine with a lovely old, warm farmhouse(I visit in winter for the skiing and have stayed at more expensive...

The Lareau Inn is a unique place to stay and the scenery and meals are a true Vermont experience. The Mad River valley is beautiful and peaceful and you will want to return to this inn again in the future. I also suggest to the skier to use Liftopia to purchase lift tickets at a nice discount.

My father in law and I have stayed here many times and keep coming back. Lisabeth is a great host and a great source for finding out the best places to eat locally, Flatbread being a definite. After a days skiing there's always coffee and cake to enjoy upon arriving back. The log burner will have you feeling cosy and...

We only live 35 miles away but love to stay at Lareau Farm after a day of skiing at Sugarbush or Mad River Glen. Inviting and eclectic decor and warm comfortable rooms will keep us coming back again and again. David's breakfasts are top notch as is the hospitality of Innkeeper Lisabeth. Definitely one of my favorites.

We have been going to the farm inn for many years and keep coming back because of the excellent way we are treated. The food and rooms are great and we book a year in advance so that we get the room we want. We are already booked for 2016.

I wanted to love the Inn at Lareau Farm and although the property itself and location were quite good, the room we slept in reminded me of staying at Grandma's house, which might be appealing to some visitors as the old farmhouse is very Vermont and in it's own way, cozy. There are many nice communal spaces, and we enjoyed...

Hi Erin, Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate it and have worked to improve areas where we were lacking. We have been working really hard over the past year to update the inn without losing the historic charm - one of the hidden updates is that we have blown insulation into the ceiling walls so that should take care of...

First experience at a B & B from an invite to a loved one's wedding. Upon arrival, this charming picturesque farm offered the perfect backdrop of Autumn's splendor to complement all the Wedding festivities. All staff were courteous and went out of their way to make every guest feel special. Rooms were charming, food was 5 star and the entire...

“We stayed in Remembrance, which was quite small with a shared hall bathroom. It was adequate for a night's stay at the last minute, but for a few more dollars, we'd opt for the Respect room, which was right next door, much bigger and had it's own bathroom, if we were to stay again.”
