This is not a fancy place and, while comfortable and clean, seemed a little shabby. We were the only ones in residence during our stay and found our host couple helpful and very nice. Auberge is on Route 100 and the traffic noise went on into the night. I had read some reviews and picked a room in the back,...

First visit to Stowe. Beautiful town and surrounding area! The B&B was very clean and comfortable. Shawn & Chantal are great hosts. Very knowledgable of the area. No matter which direction you were headed they were able to give you must see suggestions! Delicious breakfast, thank you for your hospitality! Would stay here again.

We arrived Labor Day weekend with ideas of hiking and visiting local breweries. Shawn and Chantal were extremely nice and knowledge with places to check out and the ins and outs of each hike we were planning...clean room...no fridge in room but there is a small one in the common area to store drinks/snacks if need be...we really enjoyed the...

Thanks, Mike. One of our favorite things to do is figure out what folks want to do, then help them find those places. There's so much available up here that choosing what to do can be daunting. We are lucky to be able to meet and help so many people find their bliss in Stowe, and we hope to see...

Great place. Excellent attentive and friendly service. Modest, but quaint and clean. The parking is a little tricky because it's on a main road and makes it a little difficult to pull out. Unique and fair priced.

Thank you for your review. You are right about the parking out front and we usually suggest for their safety, our guest back in but we may have forgotten and we are sorry. We also have an alternate parking more suitable to long vehicles or vehicles with trailers on the south side of the inn.

We have been to Stowe many times, and since we were looking for a cheap hotel for a couple of nights and this was cheap, we went with the Auberge, The beds were comfy, there was a weird smell in the front room, but after we got used to the room it was gone in the room, but not in...

Thank you for your review. We are glad you appreciate the value we offer. We are in fact the least expensive B&B in Stowe. One of the ways we do that is by eliminating unnecessary costs and in this day and age of wide spread cell phone use, phones in the room, although never a staple in a B&B, is...

Second time staying at the Auberge, in this case with my wife and grandad. Both rooms were excellent and breakfast was delicious. Shawn and Chantal made us feel at home, showcasing the true meaning of hospitality. Its location within Stowe is ideal and their dining suggestions on point. Will be back soon.

The Auberge de Stowe is owned and run by Shawn and Chantal, who are delightful Innkeepers. We spent the weekend and found the rooms to be clean and spacious, beds comfortable and the breakfast traditionally French with some extras like fresh baked breads and oatmeal with fresh fruit. The living room area has several couches and a large TV making...

My wife and I took a trip up to Stowe for Columbus day weekend - we were looking to stay close to the center of town, and Auberge de Stowe was a well-reviewed hotel in our price range. We found our hosts to be extremely welcoming, and while the hotel is old, everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious...

My wife and I decided to spend our babymoon here and we couldn't be more satisfied. Shawn and Chantal were both very friendly and personable. The Auberge definitely has a rustic feel to it - so if you're looking for modern and luxury, you're better off at the Fairfield Inn down the road. Breakfast was great as it was spent...

The Auberge is well located. Our guests were nice and friendly. However, this place requires a major upgrade to my standards, especially considering the price that was charged. Humidity and moldy smells are predominant.

Merci d'avoir pris de temps d'evaluer votre experience a l'Auberge de Stowe. It was a pleasure to host you and your friends. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Past reviewers have used "old," "rundown," "in need of an over hall, sprucing, TLC..." Unfortunately, many people conflate age with condition. But the condition of our inn is...
