There is nothing quite like a New England Inn for comfort and fellowship. The owners of Johnnycake Flats Inn were wonderful to us as overnight visitors to the area in order to attend an event at Norwich University. Warmly welcomed, enveloped in comfort overnight, and served a delicious breakfast the next morning. What more can one ask for? Highly, highly... More

We stayed with Debra and Jim for 4 wonderful nights in the Train Room. It was a fantastic visit. We felt like we were staying with old friends. They are located in the middle of Vermont, close to just about everything. The old house was beautiful and comfortable. Jim and Debra were knowledgeable about local attractions and so very helpful.... More

My husband, two small children and I spent one night at Johnnycake Flats and it was the highlight of our weekend. We came in Saturday evening and there was fire in the wood stove waiting for us. The Inn has the most wonderful energy. Debra is a master quilter and her handmade talent is on display throughout the house. They... More

I just returned from a fall foliage trip to Vermont during which my best friend and I based all of our day trips from Johnnycake Flats Inn in Roxbury, VT. The inn is a beautiful 1800's farmhouse set to the back drop of miles of state forest. Every morning we awoke to a homemade delicious and hearty breakfast - Deb's... More

Planning a fall foliage trip to Vermont but haven't decided on a B&B yet? I highly recommend Johnnycake Flats Inn of Roxbury VT. Usually my #1 letdown of get-aways is the food. At Johnnycakes, the food is the best part. Always delicious, always fresh (usually from their own garden) and always plentiful. This is a place for those who love... More

We stumbled on Johnnycakes Flats when we were looking for accommodations in Roxbury VT . There isn't much to Roxbury--a speck of a village (quiet! peaceful! star gazing possibilites!!), but just down the road from the Roxbury Tennis and Sports Camp and also convenient to Norwich University (College?). Also very convenient to Randolph, Warren, and Waitsfield and great hiking on... More

We had a very nice stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful. The best part were the hosts. They were very gracious. Only caveat is that the rooms are upstairs and the stairs are a bit more steep than average so not good for someone with trouble taking stairs.
