We stayed at Grey Gables in Jan 2015 for a race my daughter had at Jay Peak. The owners are wonderful and the breakfast we were given was filling and delicious. Our hosts even gave us a a bag of homemade muffins to take to the mountain! Loved our stay, will definitely be back.

The Gables stands alone as a beautifully restored Victorian home with antiques and detailed décor. However it is the crown jewel of an otherwise struggling old mill town. Hospitality of the hosts is outstanding and the breakfast was fabulous. They should offer dinner too as local fare is lacking. Close to the Canadian border and cyclist friendly.

Mansion is the right word. The house was built in 1886 and shows every bit of it’s Queen Anne style with the high ceilings, beautiful moldings and stain glass on both the first and second floors. The owners (Tim & Debbie) were friendly and gracious. The Tim's breakfast was out of this world.

Pros: Tim and Debbie and incredibly warm, welcoming and lovely. Heinz the dog makes a lovely mascot for the B&B. Private bathroom. Huge breakfast (on the morning of our stay): banana walnut pancakes, fruit, yogurt, granola, muffins, coffee/juice/tea, bacon. Cons: bed was very saggy. Overall: probably the best option in Richford with lovely owners and great breakfast.

My wife and I stayed here for one night, while we attended a function across the line in Canada. It is a lovely, 19th century Victorian home with beautiful woodwork. Because they probably did not have indoor plumbing, showers and toilets in 1881, the bathroom has been added and is a little cramped, but not a real problem. The bed... More

Tim and Deb treat you like family. They offer top notch service, great conversation, and of course a great Vermont breakfast! The rooms are large, clean, with private bathrooms. Stained glass windows through the house. In the winter their is a huge fire place and the summer a huge wrap around porch. You wont be disappointed!
