On a long weekend stay in the Woodstock area, my wife and I spent two nights here and were quite pleased. Very clean and COVID precautions in place. Both nights were comfortable and quiet and really close to central VT/NH attractions. Only complaint is although impeccably clean, the bathrooms could use an upgrade.
My wife and I stayed here for 1 night. Its a bit of a different experience for us as we don't usually stay in motel-type properties. In this case, we needed a hotel in this area of Vermont and the price was certainly right. Our room has definitely seen better days but rather than get overly uptight, we decided to embrace being here as a bit of an adventure. Best part of the room was the comfortable bed. Note to prospective guests: I would definitely request a room in the rear of the main building as I imagine rooms facing the highway are quite noisy. Breakfast is picked up at the front desk. In-room coffee maker produces predictably weak results. On a positive note: what a really friendly staff!
We needed a bathtub, microwave, fridge, friendly staff, brewed coffee in the morning, and a clean room. All were provided and a fair price to boot. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room in the back was very quiet.
My wife and I took a trip to just relax. We booked the hotel on Booking. Com which we will never do again. We knew there would be changes due to COVID 19. So I called to double check our reservation and to see if pets were allowed as the website said. I was told no pets due to COVID and extra cleaning which was fine so we had a friend watch our dogs. When we got to the hotel we were told our reservation was canceled which we didn’t do. So the employee, Chelsea made some phone calls and got our room back. It was booking.cim who canceled which they also tried to charge my credit card the night before we left. So never use booking.com again. Anyway the staff at the hotel was excelkent. There was no free breakfast but they did give us voices to take to our room which had a microwave and fridge. The room was very clean and everything worked. It was quiet. I wish that they had yogurt and cereal as choices for breakfast but other than that everything was excellent. The staff was very helpful and we got a better rate than we were supposed to get in booking.com. The pool wasn’t open but it wasn’t a big deal either because we were there to explore and relax. We will definitely go back and stay here. Best price and hotel I have stayed in a long time. Top notch service.…
Had a reservation for Saturday of Columbus day weekend. When we arrived at 630 pm, we were told that despite the fact that we had a valid confirmation number for a reservation we had for 2 months, our room had been given to someone else. Desk employee claimed that she had called us twice and when we didn’t answer, she cancelled the reservation. No voicemail was left, and cell reception was spotty in the area, so we never got the calls. Unfortunately, they refused us a room and there were no available rooms for 300 miles, so we were forced to drive 2.5 hours home and cut our trip short.
