A change in plans from our usual thanksgiving brought us to Vermont. While Proctorsville was a little distance (10 miles) from the family house where we gathered, it was well worth the few extra minutes drive each day. A family member's hospital stay brought us north on fairly short notice and we were happy to find the Golden Stage! This... More

Love staying at Julie and Mike's. Haven't been up in leaf season in many years so when we decided to go, all that was left was a room that we usually avoid because it's twin beds put together as a king for us. Must say, it's the first time ever that we've stayed at an inn that does thus perfectly-... More

This B&B is comfortable and inviting. We were greeted by the owners daughter who showed us around and invited us to have some Saturday chocolate cake and endless jar of cookies. Our room, the Cornelia, was sweet with a corner electric fireplace and sink/basin just outside the bathroom. The fresh air through the bedroom windows felt so good at night.... More

Thanks for this review Laura! Was good to meet you both and we do hope you're able to visit Vermont again with more time. Like the rocking chairs on the porch, it's a great state for relaxation and decompression. More

This B&B is comfortable, quaint and welcoming! Julie and Mike are wonderful hosts who make their guests' needs a priority. Due to several different life events, I had to change my reservation several times and Julie did so happily. I stayed in Otis's Room, which is beautifully appointed without being fussy or overdone. The queen mattress was one of the... More

Julie and Mike are great hosts and very knowledgeable of the area and local restaurants. From the cozy rooms with the softest sheets and comfy beds to the lovely common rooms - this inn was so beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was great and there were so accommodating with our various breakfast requests. The pool and grounds are lovely.... More

We just returned from a fabulous weekend at the Golden Stage Inn. We cannot say enough about the inn, service and food. Mike and Julie were absolutely wonderful. They greeted us upon arrival, and gave us a tour. They were willing to accommodate any food restriction/allergy. The endless cookie jar and chocolate cake were to die for. We took 2... More

We've stayed at many b&b's and Mike and Julie are among the nicest hosts. We loved all the little extra touches such as the goody bags in the room upon arrival, the hot apple cider, the soup, the cookies and the email a few days prior with additional information. We came to ski at Okemo and I loved that we... More

Every New Year’s my husband and I travel to Vermont exploring different bed and breakfasts in different parts of the state. For this New Year’s my husband chose the Golden Stage Inn. We stayed for 3 nights (Dec. 31-Jan. 3) in Cornelia’s Room. Cornelia’s Room is the first room to the right when you get to the top of the... More

The Golden Stage Inn hit all the right marks for what we were looking for. We stayed in the Otis Room (#2) which had a beautifully renovated bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and heated floor. The room also had a nice fireplace. This room is at the top of the stairs, so you do hear more foot traffic than you... More

Innkeepers Mike and Julie are two of the nicest people you can meet! This was my wife and I's first adventure at a bed and breakfast and it was awesome. Being "younger" (I, 31 and my wife, 27) we always thought of a B&B as something for older people. Our naive-ness made us think of B&Bs as forced social community... More
