The B & B is way out there in the boonies of Montpelier (which isn't saying much), and is accessible via poorly maintained gravel and graded dirt roads. The innkeepers keep goats and chickens and have a large acreage. They pride themselves on doing things organically, so this fits right into the Montpelier vibe. We were welcomed by the wife...

We were in town to view the Fall foliage, at the midpoint between Albany and Manchester, and the High Hill Inn totally made the trip. It is an easy drive to all the local attractions, but up above, perfectly tranquil with a commanding view of the hills to catch a beautiful sunset. My favorite part was visiting with the friendly...

Spent one night here while on a drive through the Northeast during fall as part of a vacation. Always wanted to stay at a B&B in This area during the fall at the height of leaf season. We couldn't have picked a better time! The views at the home are stunning! The owners are very hospitable and go out of...

I loved the country feel of the house/setting and the hospitality of the owners. They were very kind and helpful, full of smiles. The sunset view was spectacular with a beautiful deck to watch it from. The rooms were comfy and clean. You definitely feel like a guest in someone's home, but we actually enjoyed that experience. If we are...

Joe and Ann Marie are amazing hosts. They go out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable, have everything they need, and give them tips about the area. Even during the busy fall season, they take the time to serve homemade banana and other breads, fresh eggs from their own chickens, cookies and popcorn, and keep the entire...

We stayed here for three nights last week. I learned the name of Joe's wife(Anna Marie) by reading other trip advisor reviews and not by any introductions made by them. I believe that we actually saw her twice during our three night stay. Other people may have been greeted with warm tea and/or cookies etc., but we weren't. I do...

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that we could not provide for your visit the den with the fireplace that is usually available for guests to sit and read, visit with each other, etc. Joe Dixon, the co owner with Ann-Marie Dixon, is currently recovering from knee replacement surgery and Doctor's Orders are that he needs to be...

Where to start. This is a "regular" fairly new house. There is nothing that makes it an inn. My husband and I and another couple spent one night here. There is no common gathering space for the guests. The owners living room is blocked off for their personal use, so we had to spend the evening on the third floor...

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you feel you had a bad experience. When the 4 of you checked in you had been through rain on your motorcycles and asked if you could use our dryer to dry your wet clothes. We responded yes and that we could do that for you as soon as we finished an...

We arrived at the High Hill Inn, never having stayed at a B&B before. We were blown away by the views and the hospitality of Joe and Ann-Marie. We stayed in the Mountain View King room - the views were breathtaking, the bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was well decorated. The breakfast was amazing and we never left hungry!...

We were warmly greeted by Ann-Marie, the owner and made instantly welcome with a cup of tea and cookies. This is a lovely house in an outstanding position with stunning views (though rather remote, but with sat nav it's not a problem). We'd love to wake up to that view very morning! The house is extremely well furnished with very...

Nestled high on a hill, as the name implies, the views are breathtaking. Fog in the morning - what an unexpected treat. Pond, goats, turkeys, chickens, horses - all the things you would expect from a true B&B. I cannot write this without mentioning the hospitality shown to my wife and me - genuine passion for what they do. A...
