We have stayed in the double rooms, as well as, the suite. The double rooms are comfortable and clean. The suite was wonderful right down to the heated bathroom floor! When we are traveling with the whole family we book the suite. The front desk was wonderful explaining the accommodations and recommending rooms for each visit. It's an old feel...

I truly do not know if 5 stars on this rating is high enough when I review this property. Just finished our second stay and this property has it all. Staff go to the smallest detail to make sure each guest is well cared for. Valerie at the front desk, Travis on the chef staff are just two of the...

An old building that has been completely renovated. The rooms are very clean. Even though you are on a main street, the walls are thick and very quiet. Free parking in the back. Montpelier has some very nice restaurants, shops, and a capital building. Everything is an easy walk. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant.

This is a very comfortable hotel on one of the two main streets in Montpelier. Convenient location very close to the State House (well worth a visit) and to a number of restaurants along State Street. There's free parking behind the hotel. Since the hotel seems to be THE place in town, its restaurant (J. Morgans) was very busy on...

I stayed at this hotel because a friend of mine was getting married on the 4th of July. Going into the hotel lobby and up the tiny elevator was like stepping back into time during the heyday of the time it was built. The building has been very well maintained and rooms have good views of the historic State Street...

This is a really nice hotel right in "downtown" Montpelier. I think it was recently remodeled, and the rooms and interior is great. We had a king size room, with a really comfortable bed, desk and minifridge, and little sitting area. The AC/Heat worked FANTASTIC in the room, and the bathroom was great...spacious and the water pressure and temp. were...

I spend several nights a year at this hotel. Staff always recognize me and greet me by name. Rooms are comfortable and clean. They have a nice workout room and downton Montpelier is a great place to go for a run. Located right across the street from the State Capital the only challenge can be parking if you are staying...

Anna helped with preparations the weeks before hand as we were from out of town and had everything exactly how we asked it to be. The Montpelier room was beautifully done and the staff very attentive to everyone the whole evening. The food was amazing and if you love chocolate we all highly recommend the flourless chocolate torte. If looking...

We were there for the fall colors. The spectacular nature of that aside, the Capitol Plaza Hotel is the quintessential Vermont experience. The room was spacious, 5-star clean, exceedingly comfortable, and a wonderful place to wind down after a day of enjoying the spectacular beauty of the countryside. The hotel is smallish –translate quite – and located in the center...

Very clean, comfortable, lovely hotel in the heart of Vermont's capitol with a great restaurant in house, barber shop and salon. Walk to a small theater for an enjoyable night out. Plenty of small shops and other restaurants too.
