Stayed here for one night to ski at the local Bromley & Stratton mountain. Was not sure what to expect in this COVID environment. What a pleasant surprise. Trish was an amazing host, knowledgeable and friendly. The place is beautiful from the outside, and the inside lodge/lounge area looks to be a great place to spend time on a post-COVID trip. The room itself was exactly as you would expect, very clean, comfortable beds, clean and working bathroom. It's winter and IMO that's what you need from a place like this. We will be coming back next year. Thank you so much.
We stayed here on our way through Vermont, and our experience was great. The owners were very welcoming. We had a nice view of the backyard and a small balcony. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was nice. The only issue was heat. In Sept they hadn't turned on the heat for the season yet and it was quite chilly. We mentioned this to the host, and they provided us with a space heater that worked just fine. We heard others saying there was no hot water, but it just took a while for the hot water to reach the upstairs rooms. Breakfast was included and cooked to order in the dining room. The food was excellent home cooking. We had a great stay and would definitely return the next time we are in the area.
My husband and I have been coming to the Olympia Lodge for a number of years now. While there are a number of places one could choose to stay at in Manchester, we look forward to coming back here because of how good we feel the moment we drive down that driveway. If you're like us, and come in the winter, you'll be welcomed by beautiful lights covering the building, a roaring fire in the fireplace, the friendliest golden retriever you'll ever meet, and the two loveliest, hard working owners. Trish and Sal welcome you like you're family every time you step through their doors. As for the basics... every box is checked: rooms are warm (important in the winter) and clean, bathroom is adorable (they just redid them last year I believe), comfy bed, super close to town (you could walk if you really wanted to), and parking is never an issue (as a New Yorker, this is a lovely bonus). The bonus: the included breakfast!! How such a simple breakfast could be so yummy? I don't know.. but we'd like to take Sal home to cook for us :) Also.. I know I mentioned that golden! You may not see him often, as he is very often busy tending to things on his side of the Inn, but when you do, he will brighten up your day. You also have a common are where you can come and relax, which is great- especially this year when we have our 1 year old. Next time you're traveling to Manchester- check the Olympia out, you won't be disappointed. We're here now, and are already looking forward to our next visit. …
Olympia lodge was truly a cool bed and breakfast like experience. Sal and Trish were wonderful hosts for our group of 15 that came up to ski the local mountains. The four hour drive up from NYC was easy and scenic. The lodge is conveniently situated between three local mountains, yet quietly nestled in the quaint little town of Manchester Vermont. We skied two days at Stratton, 20 minute drive, I but Bromley and Magic Mountain are also within 20 minutes. The rooms are updated, very clean, and they have two entrances, indoor and outdoor. You wake up to an amazing home cooked breakfast which is included in the price. The best feature of the hotel is the common living room area which had plenty of space for three families with a total of 9 teenage to early 20’s kids. They had an amazing time playing games and watching football. This place is a true find. The owners made our trip really pleasant and truly made us feel at home. We really felt like we were at a two day sleepover. If you wanted to hang out you went to the common area. If you needed some alone time you went in your room. I’ve been to many hotels and inns and this place is the complete package. We will be back next year to ski the other mountains. …
