My family from out west stayed here for a week and LOVED the place. They had a 3 bedroom unit with 3 baths, large living room and mini kitchen they could not have been more comfortable. On the weekend a surprise 60th birthday party was held there for me and many of my friends and family also stayed there (10...

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend at the Upper Pass lodge last fall and it was a simply wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the service was above-and-beyond, and it was a great location. The owner and manager were very actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the business, which gave it a very homey, authentic feel. The beautiful...

As many others have shared, Vince was great! My mom and I came for the weekend through a Living Social voucher and we had a very enjoyable experience. Vince was very accommodating as well as the other staff. I really like that all the food and wine served in the onsite restaurant Red Slate are locally sourced, and delicious. We...

I've given the Upper Pass Lodge an excellent rating not because it is the most elegant and well appointed lodge in the area but because Vince, the Manager offers the best package for a hiking trip in August. Rates can not be beat. The personal services offered, the friendly and helpful staff and the private location gives my friends and...

Very well placed, just outside of town, close to nature. Looks like a beautiful ski resort, being there in August we appreciated quietness and beauty of surroundings. Great restaurant as well, very welcoming staff.

Overall, I enjoyed our stay at the Upper Pass Lodge. The Lodge is in a nice spot, plenty of parking. I liked that it's dog friendly, though we didn't bring our pup. We used a Living Social deal, which included a cheese plate and wine at check-in. The wine was good and the cheese was great (though I'd have preferred...

Pros : Nice staff, very friendly and helpful, On site restaurant is delicious, opt for a Jacuzzi room its worth it, lovely comfortable lounge, dog friendly, close to several sight seeing destinations. Full bar, Cons: bed was uncomfortable, room was outdated, no AC, no tissues in the room, hotel walls need a good scrubbing, and carpets are outdated. Worth a...

Before leaving home, I checked the website to see if there was a pool at the lodge. No mention of one. So I didn't take my suit. Turns out they have a small, but nice pool. Who knew? I had a Living Social coupon which made the room quite reasonable. We stayed two nights. When we arrived I was dismayed...

I want to thank Vince and his staff for the help they had given me when I first arrive at the Upper Pass Lodge. The only problem I had at first, was when I called asking how to turn on the air conditioner, well...No A/C. Vince had gotten me 2 fans to help beat the heat. The morning coffee, and...

OK...first things first: the rooms are not deluxe. Our room was clean, but showing its age. Walls had been repainted in patches, baseboard molding was missing in some places, and the whole room had kind of a tired look. But again, it was clean...which matters more to me than stylish. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. First floor room was...
