Had a lovely one night stay here. The room and bathroom were clean and the breakfast was huge and very nice. The decor is a little old but not a problem. The owner and his daughter were very friendly and helpful.

The Butternut Inn (bed and breakfast) is the perfect place for the active outdoor family seeking an alternative to overpriced Killington Resort properties. After all you came to Killington to have fun, not to stare at the walls of your hotel room, right? The location couldn’t be much better. The Inn is right off Killington road just a mile or...

We have been coming up to Killington for over 15 years and have stayed at almost all the hotels/motels along the base of the mountain and decided to try the Butternut Inn. We stayed several nights and had an excellent experience. The room was clean, the wall heater was very efficient and the water got hot quickly. The breakfasts were...

The Butternut is great! The included breakfast is out of this world, consisting of eggs, pancakes, French toast, fresh OJ and local breakfast meat selections. It's about a five minute drive from Killington resort, which is right down the road. They have a quaint gathering area where you can play some board games with your traveling companions. The rooms are...

Breakfast here is fantastic, 2 very capable chefs nail the quality consistently - pancakes come out perfect, real maple syrup and the thick cut bacon and the apple smoked sausage are unique, not run of the mill items at all. Omelets are fluffy and never dried out. Overall quality is high and breakfast truly is an under-rated feature of a...

First place we wanted to tried for breakfast when we arrived to killington, VT. Food was ok but service was terrible. Waited almost an hour just for some one to take out order for breakfast. Some other tables that arrived after us were served first. Won't be coming back here.

Pretty funny you came in on a day that was negative 20 degrees out. We were pack with people sitting at all our tables and others that were waiting to be sited way before you even came in. Then you want to place a take out order and jump to the front of the line there were 50 orders in...

Best trip to Killington I could have asked for. Jim, the owner, was extremely helpful in assisting us to see the best parts of Killington during our stay. The room and food was the best possible value for the price. Hopefully we'll make it back soon! -Brian

We came for a 3 day weekend. Like someone else mentioned, this is not a 5 star hotel, but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in Killington at a reasonable price, this is it! Our room had comfortable beds and was spacious enough for our needs. Jim the owner is very pleasant to talk to,...

When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon, I have to say I was a bit concerned and wondered what did my husband get us into. The outside structure definitely is in some need of TLC. Once inside, we were greeted by Jim the owner......which we quickly learned is a jack of all trades which explained his attire upon arrival that...

We came to ski/skate/eat and not spend too much time in our rooms. The Butternut Inn is a work in progress, that's true, but we had comfortable beds, great breakfasts, and a attentive, accommodating host in Jim. While it may not be a 5 star resort, there are obvious improvements being made and the host more than made up for...
