Ok, here's why. I came to check in after skiing and they had just stepped out. No problem because they left me a note and directions to the room and key and all good. Got settled checked in and saw the nice owners and they saw they we had 3 people and gave us a key to an extra room....

Price: Highly affordable, this is being said as a college student. Service: The owner (and everyone else, too) Jim is friendly, funny, and very very helpful. Our rooms stayed clean, and we were always provided with everything we needed and wanted. Location: This is only about 5 minutes from the mountain, and from other nearby attractions as well. BREAKFAST: It...

Although this property is tired and dated I will come back for three reasons, the breakfast, the owner and the location. When you check in you feel like you are in a dated ski lodge and that would not be an inaccurate assessment. Even though this is not a four star facility there is stuff to recommend. The breakfast is...

We were very impressed with the reception of the hotel owner. He met us at the door, he took our suitcase and went upstairs. The owner took us to the room. He offered to help with any questions. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Interesting fact: the owner did not ask for the documents, and when leaving, he did not give...

All the reviews we had read before booking told us to expect an excellent breakfast and a budget room. We found this to be true but were pleasantly surprised that the room was cozier than expected with a modern flat screen TV, homey bedspreads and memory foam mattress & pillows. The owner, Jim, and his daughters (who help out at...

Slightly overpriced but very good and really filling! Had egg whites with cheddar cheese and banana pancakes. Serve yourself style beverages and zero wait as we arrived later in the morning (10:00). Connected to a motel so I am sure this is a huge draw for families with kids.

We stayed here for a couple of nights last weekend. We were in town to ski and wanted close to Killington. This place was perfect. Loved the wood decor and pot belly stoves in the sitting and dining area. It was very inviting. Beds were comfortable and the rooms very spacious. Ample parking and great wifi. We spent a few...

The breakfast is the high point of any stay here! You get to order off a menu and then get an excellent breakfast served to you. I had some eggs scrambled with cheese in them, potatoes and the best blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup. I don't eat meat, but I hear the bacon they serve is really good too....

We stayed for a night at Butternut Inn. The room was fine, old but clean. If you are looking for a reasonably priced accommodation then this is a great choice. The breakfast was great and unlimited pancakes are a treat.

Spent two nights here in late August and had a very good experience. The rates are reasonable, the breakfast excellent, and the owner and staff very friendly. It is a bit old, but very clean and quiet.
