Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Horrible. Worst hospitality experience my group has ever had. Prior to arriving, they overbooked the hotel, prioritized 3rd party bookings over ours via Hilton, and downgraded Suites we pre-booked 7 months in advance. Staff was accusatory and rude over the phone pre-stay while we tried to rearrange. Water was unpotable, yet were were criticized when requesting free bottle water. Lobby bathroom had no running water. Overcharged us upon checkout. Incidentals fee was not refunded until I called 2 weeks later. Mysterious "gift shop charges" were added to our folio and not taken care of when disputed. I have never written a review on a hotel before, but was inspired to try and save anyone else the headaches, frustration, and hours of wasted time this property has put us through.

Hotel's Favourite
We went up to Vermont for a ski trip. We had one of the two-bedroom suites. The property is at a great location, very close to Killington, and not a long drive to Okemo either. Like a lot of businesses in Vermont, this property is experiencing a staff shortage problem, but everyone on site is very welcoming and they’re best to help us with our requests. There were however two problems we encountered: the curtains were missing on one side of the room, and the outside hot tub could use a bit more cleaning. Other than that, we really enjoyed our start at Killington Mountain Lodge and really loved the welcoming staffs

Bar Can't make the cocktails on the list because it is out of stock of the spirits in them. Bar games and pool table, nice idea, but the pool table could do with another cue and the pockets getting repaired, and a new unchipped white ball.  Many games are missing parts so also could do with a seasonal replacement. The temperature of this space was cold, broken heating I am told, also some windows were not properly closed,  I closed them, but that was not going to warm up the space in time. Room This was overall nice, heating controls were good but offset by the fact that in the balcony rooms the doors have real gaps between them letting in a stiff draft.  Some weather stripping here would improve room comfort a lot when it is below freezing outside. As with bedding, even though the room was booked for four, we only had towels for two. Breakfast It's hotel priced, I'll accept that and as there are no decent diner style options on the access road and the mountain is just the same price it is what it is, but items often ran out and we needed to wait to get them restocked, make more coffee please.  It means you need to be there half hour longer than you really need to and that cuts into sleep or time skiing.

We have never experienced such rude front desk during any of our travels around the world. We booked two rooms 3 nights on December 29th. Upon arrival, we were shocked to hear that our rooms were given to other customers and there will be no rooms for our family of four plus our dog. The male front desk was so rude and trying to point fingers to booking agent instead of showing any compassion and trying to help customers in stress. By the end of the day, it was this hotel trying to get maximum profit and sold our room to others while charging us for no show. Though we eventually get our money back but we have to stay at a different hotel 8 miles away. Stay away from this place!

This hotel is in need of much repair and customer service. It is not ready to be part of the Hilton brand. I booked this hotel specifically because Tapestry by Hilton is known to be a high quality hotel. I can understand errors and construction etc.. However, the follow up and customer service are even worse than our stay. I booked two rooms for my family. When we checked in they, gave me a room key that had a man laying in bed!! Their computers did not even know what rooms had current guests. Then the second room they wanted to give us also had people in it already. At 3am in the morning, my daughter was banging on my hotel door. She said her room was flooded. I was envisioning some water seeping out of the bathroom and the carpet being soggy… NO! There was literally 4 inches of water throughout the entire room from the toilet overflowing! It had ran all night and she didn't know until she stepped into it! Everything near the floor and on it was ruined, luggage, shoes, most of our belongings. We had two beds in our room so we quickly put everything in our room and the tub because it was completely soaked. This flood completely destroyed the rooms below, the office, the paint on the walls was peeling. It was massive damage! The next day - the general manager offered me 60,000 points. After pointing out everything we lost and was damaged, not to mention i was not going to stay another night, he asked me to follow up by email. He said I would not be charged for the flooded room and he would give me enough points to make up for my pre-paid stay. After this flood we left. I couldn't stay another night. We are now 60 days out from this incident and I have zero compensation. The manager responded to my initial email and offered more points. I was also charged $333 for the flooded room. After several attempts to contact the manager regarding this charge, he never responded. I finally had to dispute the charge with my Credit Card. It is now Dec 18th 2023, and I have zero communication from the hotel, zero points and no follow up. I have emailed Guest Correspondence and went to Twitter. The next morning the gentleman that was cleaning the room, said this was the worst he's seen but he's had several issues with rooms he has had to fix. THIS HOTEL IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE A HILTON AND IS NOT READY FOR GUESTS!

Pros- good location, good parking ( with self parking fee🙁) , room seems and feels fine. Good bed and pillow. Cons- the front desk guy has no business working in hospitality. Very standoffish and unfriendly. Every question seems like a bother. I have checked in on the app and got the digital key upon arrival. When I arrived I wanted to find out the daily food and beverage credit for my stay. I was not given a full explanation ( have gold status). I was told to use the breakfast and was given two vouchers to use. the breakfast buffet was $25 per person. The food quality and selection of the breakfast are worse than holiday inn. It definitely doesn’t worth $25. And by the time I checked out on my phone, I was charged for $50 and only credit $20 back, it was supposed to be $30 credit $15 per person). I am working on the billing discrepancy with Hilton. I was not giving the option to use the credit at the Market where they also have pastry in the morning. Found out when checked out. Wish someone has told me that when I asked. Lobby and elevator had a very strange unpleasant smell. Not sure if it's the rug or cleaning agent the hotel uses. I'm usually very insensitive to smells, so it says something when I notice. There were some dusts in the bathroom and the light was so dark. Can’t use for makeups. Only two bath towels in the room for a family of 4. My reservation was 2 adults and 2 two kids. The hotel was recently under Hilton management, i feel the staffs are untrained and they don’t know much about hospitality. I asked for recommendations for day activities and the guy told me absolutely nothing to do here. I would stay away….,,,

This property is a renovated - and much better! -version of the "Inn at the Seven Mountains" that had seen better days. Rooms are now upgraded to Hilton standards and full of helpful touches for skiing like extra hooks and storage space for gear. Staff were great and the hotel has good breakfast and coffee options. Definitely recommended.

Spent 2 nights. Super friendly staff, facility looks beautiful but is a wreck. - - Water unpotable, only kitchen had clean water, had to request ice from there - no signage indicating NOT to drink room water - balconies packed with new room AC/Heaters - Website noted only breakfast was being served----only it wasn't. No food. - Tiny Starbucks kiosk on site - had to switch rooms, over pool area and chlorine smell so strong it burned our eyes, made me nauseated - In both rooms, the room number was incorrect on the room phone - not the same as room number on door! - Mislabled shampoo, gel, conditioner - no soap in one room - Massive 1/2" + gaps in windows and wind blew through and howled all night and day - Saw one water dispenser in hall where ice machines should be - No notice on website that massive repairs being done - like 20' bin in front yard with workers hammering and taking down rotted walls at 7am - Water shut off at 9am without notice - pool in disrepair - not noted on website - reeked of chlorine - staff mopping front lobby with strong bleach all day - stairway to mezzanine level was blocked as stairs were soaked from leaks - no fires in any fireplace - lighting in hotel room bathroom so dim hard to see - no full size mirror in room - only in bathroom + awesome comforters and decent beds + new remotes + awesome, friendly staff who have to deal with a trainwreck of a facility

We really enjoyed our stay at Killington Mountain Lodge. We were a little apprehensive about our stay after reading some of the reviews on here so couldn’t believe how lovely this Hotel really was when we arrived! We had paid a little extra to have one of the balcony rooms which was a nice added touch. Our room was clean and tidy when we arrived and was refreshed every day by housekeeping. The breakfast had a lot of choice, a nice mixture of cooked and continental with a view overlooking the mountains. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This Hotel is in a great location with many restaurants just a walk away. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Vermont!
