We enjoyed our stay at the governor's house. We stayed in the pink room, a large and spacious room with a gas fireplace. It has a period cast iron tub, if you want a traditional shower it is down the hall. The house is lovingly restored so if you love all of the details you will be happy here. The...

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend when he was visiting me at the Vermont Studio Center artists' residency. Suzanne is an exceptionally warm host. The breakfasts were very carefully prepared and delicious. The room was exceptionally well decorated, comfortable and clean. One really nice thing about the inn was that there were many public areas to read...

Bad news: we only booked one night while driving through Vermont. Our brief stay at the Governor's House was a delight in every possible way. Suzanne knows how to make you feel welcome, and has thought of every little possible touch you could wish for. From ice cream before bed, and the lovely lavender toiletries, to the movie library and...

Suzanne is a delight! She is knowledgeable, professional and warm. We had tea in the living room which itself was a treat! Our room was most comfortable. It was a respite from the rush and modernism of today. Every detail from the room and its decorations to the outside of the Inn added to our most needed escape. Thank you...

She supported us in our where to go and what to do to include restaurant reservations and best place to go skiing in the local area, the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. The B&B...

My husband and I had the Elopement of our dreams thanks to all the effort Suzanne puts into the elopement package. Although we live only a half an hour away from the Governor's House, we felt as though we were in our own little world. The Governor's House is the ultimate romantic getaway in every sense. Our room was cozy...

I have enjoyed many teas here over the years, but this year decided to have a Christmas tea for a group of friends. It was perfect. Lovely presentation, very nice tea (special blend), fantastic home made sandwiches and scones with proper cream and jam. It was a very relaxing afternoon and is to become an annual event. She also gave...

Had a wonderful afternoon Tea with 7 ladies... Food was delicious. Although we did not spend the night at the Governor's Mansion because we are local residents, we had a tour of this amazing, totally renovated home and every room was unique, spotless and full of history. A must to visit!

My husband and I happened upon the Governor's House B&B while searching for a wedding venue. We'd always planned on keeping a very small ceremony and noticed the hot air balloon elopement package was offered. We decided to go for it and we couldn't have been happier! Suzanne welcomed us immediately and told us to explore the house and property...
