I recently passed through Vermont on my two week excursion to America & Canada. I had never been to Vermont before or knew anything about it, other than the leaves must be beautiful at this time of year. Fortunately for me, the cottage became free during my stay in Burlington and I couldn't have lucked out any further. The most...

...and your review is very special as well. Simple environs so as not to distract from the magic of the light shifting over the mountains, lake and garden landscape. Thank you for your appreciation.

Every year we now intend to go to Vermont for family camp at Tyler Place. And that trip will include a stopover at One of a Kind (AKA Maggie’s Burlington Oasis), created out of a modest 1909 home with a backyard that makes our top five vistas list: lawn surrounded by cottage gardens bleed into a tree-line that continues just...

Thank you for the charming "nickname"!

Overall, a great stay! We stayed in the suite, which includes a bedroom, bathroom, and another small room. The suite is upstairs, while Maggie (owner) lives downstairs -- privacy wasn't an issue. There was a great view out multiple windows facing lake Champlain, and a little garden which you walk to with even better views of it! For breakfast there...

Friendly owner, cosy room with separate lounge area for chilling out. Fabulous garden with views of Lake Champlain. Breakfast supplies are all in the fridge in the lounge area and it was actually really nice to not have a set time to have to go down for breakfast and to be that little bit more independent and private. Was a...

My Husband and I stayed in the cottage during our visit to Burlington. We walked to Church Street for shopping and dinners. There is easy access to the Burlington Bike path and a short drive to great activities. The view of Lake Champlain was outstanding and we enjoyed it each morning with our cup of coffee in the yard. Magie...

Wow... I don't what was the best part of our stay... the panoramic views of Lake Champlain, the generous hospitality of our hostess, the fairy tale charm of the cottage or the walking proximity to downtown Burlington. It was all perfect.

We stayed for two nights and the space was just lovely. The suite of rooms were private, clean, and the frig was well stocked. The coffee was great too! The separate sitting area and bathroom allowed us to spread out a bit. Very nice stay. We did stay when the owner was not in the home and it was unclear...

Glad to hear the suite was to your liking. The suite is the only accommodation I offer to guests in the main house. The guests who stay in the suite are assured of privacy as they are the only ones who have access to this area.

Lovely, cozy, quaint place with a great view of the lake. Had everything we needed for our stay in Burlington - comfortable bed, healthy breakfast items stocked and ready and privacy. We enjoyed our stay here.

Quaint, charming, cozy, clean. I loved the kitchenette. Fully equipped. Slipped out of bed and made ourselves french press coffee made with Maggie's home-roasted coffee beans! The weather was perfect (can't figure out how Maggie arranges that - it only rained at night!) Fun to see the treats in the fridge! Had our breakfast outside in the greeting card garden....

The grounds are very pretty but after being there for about an hour, we realized how buggy the inside of the room was. Ants crawling in the bathroom, spiders on the wall and lampshades, things flying all around and worst of all- bugs IN THE BED. Crawling on the sheets, pillows and blankets. Inside the comforter. You could not sit...

Thank you for the complimentary words about the grounds. I do work hard on them. I work hard on the accommodations, too. One Of A Kind b+b has been inspected and licensed by the State of Vermont Department of Health and the City of Burlington since 2004. My guest accommodations are in my home which I live in. The hygiene...
