I stayed at the Green Trails Inn for 4 days in July. This was my second trip, and I plan on returning in the Fall with my mom to see the stunning folliage. Coming from Southern California it is great to see the seasons! This is a quinticential country Vermont Inn with a world traveled gourmet chef for an innkeeper!...

This was our second stay at the Green Trails Inn. When we arrived on our bikes, weary and dirty, Jane had a pitcher of cold juice and some berry cobbler waiting for us. She said she knew we would be thirsty and hungry. We sat out on the porch and watched the town activity, mainly neighbors chatting and visiting, and...

The previous review does not do Green Trails Inn justice. We loved our weekend there and plan to return next summer. The inn is in an ideal location, on a country road across from a lovely little lake and a fine restaurant with a view of said lake (the restaurant serves delicious food from locally grown ingredients) We stayed in...

I relied on the previous reviews to plan a stay here and I'm going to set the record straight so other people may enjoy there stay somewhere else. The rooms are inadequate; the windows have no screens so you either close them and roast in the heat or leave them open and become a buffet for the mosquitos. There is...

The "Green Trails Inn" is pure perfection in every way. The Inn is so comfortable and it's setting is truly a slice of heaven. The owner is one of the most interesting and generous people anyone could ever have the pleasure of meeting. If you have the good fortune of being in this area or making a much recommended visit,...

Honestly, I really enjoy talking about myself. However, Jane is an absolutely amazing host and I could have listened and talked with her for hours! She has a truly fascinating life and exquisite taste for New England. As someone who has spent much of her life traveling, one can easily tell that she's put what she's learned to practice at...

This is a truly authentic place that fits its setting, so if you are looking for a hermetically sealed, 5 star hotel, this is not the place. However, if you want to stay in a comfortable place that is indigenous to its area, this is a good choice. Innkeeper, Jane Doerfer, is very welcoming without being intrusive. She really makes...

My husband and I came to VT for 4 days of leaf peeping this fall. We're so glad we hit upon the Green Trail Inn! Jane is a great host and an amazing chef! Her knowledge of VT helped us fill our unstructured time and organize 4 great days of sight-seeing. The setting is beautiful and Ariel's restaurant next door...

If you really want a B&B that specializes in a great night's sleep and a great breakfast this is it. Hands-down, the best bed we've ever slept in, in a B&B, and the best breakfast we've ever had. Jane, the innkeeper, was not stingy with the food. She also told us the mattresses were something she did not want to...

Green Trails Inn is a comfortable small Inn in Brookfield VT. The owner, Jane, has written several cookbooks and is an experienced, interesting and interactive hostess. She is not intrusive, but will chat if you take the time and will offer good local advice if you ask. Jane lives in a private part of the Inn and seeks to ensure...
