The front desk staff was very friendly and they had a Vermont sense of humor. First some quotes from the front desk: "Heat is on for the whole hotel so don't call down and ask for it to be hotter." (We found the heat was fine for us.) "If a ghost pops out of the closet, don't call down after...

The Latchis has undergone several renovations, restoring its original Art Deco charm and quirkiness. The staff was friendly and informative, and the rooms simple and clean. You can't beat the location, in the heart of historic downtown Brattleboro, with many shops and restaurants nearby. I had an "interior" room which provided a view of a brick wall, but I enjoyed...

I use funky to describe Brattleboro in the most positive way. It certainly is different, but I really enjoy it-so much so that I've visited 3 times now. The last time I brought 2 British friends up on the Amtrak Vermonter which stops just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Brattleboro has enough going on that you certainly don't...

From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left the parking lot for home our stay at the Latchis Hotel was perfect! It is just as described, charming, historic, warm and right downtown. Our Queen room, Urban view, was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and the perfect size for two. We had a great time walking Main...

The hotel is an old theater, and part of the theater is still active. Location is perfect, and a 3 minute walk to Whetstone Brewing. Great food and brews! Everything in the hotel is quite old, but don't confuse old with dirty!

We love to explore and we were thrilled this hotel was right in downtown and within walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops, and funky food co-op. Our room was clean...

This wonderful retro hotel is located in the heart of Brattleboro. You can walk from here to shops, restaurants, theatres, the town as a whole. A very friendly staff, room impecccable, and a lovely weimaraner named Paris in the lobby to greet you.

Stayed here after not quite making it to Mount Snow in the blizzard (that's what you get with a crappy compact rental car). We made a last minute reservation and the stay was extremely welcoming. They gave us some great restaurant recommendations for some tired/hungry travelers!! The room was well stocked with a mini fridge and tv with many channels....
