Skiing in Deer Valley and stopped at the Stein Erikson lodge for lunch. Yes its a nice place. The service is first class, but $16 for a bottle of Cider is just taking the p---. It is impossible to have a snack here. Almost all the items on the menu end up being large full meals. I wanted something relatively...

This was easily the best hotel experience ever for me! From the time we pulled up until we left the next morning, everyone with whom we came in contact was totally professional, helpful and courteous. The accommodations were top notch, too. I only wish that I had the time and money to stay longer!

Stein Ericson is by far the best ski report in the WORLD. The Property, Service, Staff and Food are exceptional. We could not ask for more. its ideal for a family vacation or a romantic vacation. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean.

This is a special pace to stay. The rooms are fantastic and the staff is extremely professional. Everything from single rooms to family sites are perfect. Real wood burning fireplaces...they will even light a fire for you, if you ask. And I believe all rooms come with hot tub spas or very large jetted tubs. Very very nice. After a...

I have written reviews about SEL before, and every time I visit the experience is fantastic! The staff at every place in the resort is top notch. They are friendly, knowledgeable and want to help in any way they can. The food is outstanding, and if you are skiing then the ski locker team will take very good care of...

We spent four nights at Stein Erickson. The place, the staff, the food and the service were all outstanding. Although the main restaurant was beautiful, we found ourselves spending a lot of time in the adjacent more casual bistro-like restaurant. Noel was our server and he was terrific. If you want top notch accommodations, skiing and great service where you...

We loved the service and the atmosphere! Just a lovely and elegant true lodge feel. The dishes we chose were exquisite. The Wagyu Tartar was divine! Hubby ordered the Lobster and Rutabaga soup.....it was rich and delicious. Main course.....please order the Rocky Mountain Elk Tenderloin. "When in Rome?!" You will not be disappointed!

Been here many times but this is first review. Still a classy hotel with superb service, terrific ski in-out location. But has been surpassed by new high-end resorts in recent years. Has more of the classic lodge ambience than a modern high-end hotel. Rooms are dated and need upgrading. Recommended for the experience to have stayed at the classic hotel...

The late Stein Eriksen, the olympiad who was director of the Deer Valley Ski Report, can continue to be proud of the lodge that bears his name. You can't beat the location, the service is excellent, and most importantly you are in the midst of the best ski area in Utah and you feel the spirit of skiing.

When driving into the driveway, we were greeted by the staff immediately. We started with the most delicious breakfast buffet and our wait staff made us feel warm and welcoming. Getting the ski rental is never a pain any more here because they have the best location (in house) and staff assisting us along the way. Lunch with yummy cheese...
