Motel is definitely a little dated as you look at it for the first time. We were greeted warmly by the owner and informed of the main dining options in town. The room was clean and the 2 queen beds were comfortable. Washroom was clean. We would have liked a fridge but there was plenty of ice so that wasn't... More

Certainly adequate for a one night stay near Bryce. Clean, quiet, not exactly quaint, but certainly reminiscent of another time. Room was on the small side with basic furniture, comfy bed, and very clean bath. We didn't expect much to do after the sun went down in Panguitch, and weren't disappointed. Owner/manager was very friendly and informative and we generally... More

Stayed here for 1 night after Bryce and before Zion. Located very close to the central street of this small town, walking distance to supermarket and restaurants. The check in was quick. The room was nice and clean with AC that worked for heating the room. The WiFi was fast enough to watch movies on line. There was no breakfast,... More

We stayed one night after visiting Bryce Canyon. Short drive to Panguitch which was picturesque and had many historical buildings. Room was clean, reasonably quiet (except for movement upstairs), comfortable beds. No fridge. We left our ID, money belt, wallet in room and we only realised about an hour after leaving. All were returned intact. A big thanks for the... More

We departed from our norm of staying at a chain motel and opted to stay here; that was a great decision. Our room was spotless. We appreciated the king bed and room size; no refrigerator or microwave here. The king bed rooms are on the one-floor section of this motel; the two-bed rooms are in a two floor section. While... Stayed one night here on the way to Bryce National Park. We liked the town of Panguitch - plenty of character, and places to eat. Ole at the Purple Sage recommended a couple of places which all looked good. Room was fine, and clean.

We stayed here based on other TA reviews. While the grounds and general space was clean, it was in great need of some work and updating. If not for it being clean, and the awesome owners, I think this would have gotten a lower score especially for the cost. Staff was very friendly, and exterior was especially neat and tidy.... More

This is an older property, but our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. No refrigerator, but did have in-room coffee and good free WiFi. No breakfast included, so go to the Flying M - an old-fashioned diner that has great food, including fresh homemade biscuits!

The Purple Sage brings a touch of the past to the present. Reminiscent of Zane Grey's novel set in the Southeastern part of Utah, this small motel is run by a friendly family. It's within walking distance of the restaurants and antique shops in Panguitch. The accommodations are a little older, but clean and quaint.
