Our room (two very comfortable queens) was obviously recently refurbished. It was tastefully decorated including a ship on the mantle. The bath had new ceramic tile. The sink looked like it was made from an antique cabinet. There was a neat mountain stream just below our room.

We were traveling with no reservations and were skeptical after reading horrible reviews about this place. We actually got this contact from another hotel owner that was full. It was definitely unique but a positive experience for the money and so much better than sleeping in our Vehicle! It felt safe and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay...

We always stay here when we travel back to visit family.. Rooms are always clean, the outside could be cleaned up a bit, but the owner and his family are awesome people. And for the best breakfast around make sure you visit the restaurant. Thanks again for another great stay!!

We stayed at this hotel as a last option. No other hotels were available and we needed a place to sleep. Our room was clean and it was comfortable. The outside of the hotel was a disaster, old cars sitting in disrepair and the empty swimming pool covered with a dirty tarp. The hotel itself needs a great deal of...

Just looking at this motel and you are back in the 1950's. It's the iconic motel - single storey, park your car in front of your room, restaurant down at one end. Second time I have stayed here 2014 and 2016. Yeh, it could do with a coat of paint inside and out but it's rates are reasonable considering the...

I stayed in this motel for 7 days because there were no other hotels available. The room smelled of strong, flowery, "odor cover up stuff." It was really moldy and yucky. I never took off my flip flops. In 7 days they never cleaned my room. Didn't look like it had been cleaned in years! Only plus was view, hot...

This motel doesn't make good first impression. It turned out to be better than it looked, but not by much. Big sign says that pets are welcomed and it shows. Bed cover was full of cat or dog hairs. The rest of the bedding was pretty clean but the hairs don't look good. Bathroom was pretty clean if not worn...

We booked 3 nights but after seeing our room, we cancelled 2 nights and gladly paid twice as much in Springdale. Carpet appeared filthy. I did wear my shoes at all times. Really not sure that sheets were ckean. They were very wrinkled and not your typical hotel sheets. I could not wait to check out. As stated previously, the...

I tried to find a budget motel half way between Zion and Bryce National Parks in Utah. Mt. Carmel Junction consists of the Golden Hills Motel with a price of about $48.00 per night for seniors and the Thunderbird Lodge which is $100.00 and over for their rooms, so it was an easy decision for me. I booked for 3...

Old motel has been updated sometime not too many years ago. The pros of this property are that it is extremely budget friendly, has the usual furnishings and amenities, and is centrally located. We were at Zion National Park to hike the Narrows. This town and motel are much closer to the trail head than the much, much-pricier Springdale. Our...
