The resort as a whole is very nice and a great place for families. The good and bad is that the units are mostly timeshares. So your experience depends on the owners. Last year we got a unit that was clean and updated to maybe the 80's. This year we got a unit that was clean but maybe updated to... More

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is so gross. We booked it for a week and only stayed one night and got a different place to stay across town. The condos are so old and dirty. There is no air conditioning and in July makes it a heater. You get a demanding note when you check... More

I have been going to this resort for over 30 years and it never gets old. However as a parent of four children I now truly appreciate all the family friendly amenities and activities. My children enjoyed the kids club and making crafts. We played on the beach and play ground several times. You can take your own bikes and... More

This resort is mostly condos but they have a couple of "hotel rooms" #9 & 10. They are perfect for a large family or large group. Although it is only one (huge) room, it has 2 queen beds, a set of bunk beds, a large sofa that turns into a bed and one small sofa. It has a small kitchen... More

When we first arrived at our condo, it felt like I was walking into a horror movie. The building was old and smelly. The stairs leading up to our room appeared to never have been even vacuumed. We even left a spoon out to see if it would ever get cleaned up (it didn't). As soon as we got to... More

Let me first say I was very impressed with the property. There is an endless variety of things to do. It is located right on the beach but also offers a pool, mini golf course and even a craft area for the kids. The grassy area was really nice and had bbq available. We were able to rent water crafts... More

My extended family and I rented 2 condos that were not in the same building. The one I was in was in building J which is where the store is located. The condo itself was falling apart and really old. There were cobwebs on a bedroom door and inside the bedroom, the wall was cracking and falling apart, it was... More

Our family has been staying at Ideal Beach every summer for over thirty years, mainly because it is one of the few places to stay next to the beach/lake. However, the last five years have just been horrible. The condo's are getting old and disgusting. I am certain our wasn't even properly cleaned last week. The sheets looked used and... More

This resort has a great beach and grounds. It would be 'ideal' for family gatherings. We stayed in the small motel rooms near the beach. It was very basic, small and outdated. I kinda felt like I was camping but with 4 walls around me! If we go here again I would choose to stay in the main lodge. If... More

Pros: We recently rented "the house" on the property with some other family members. It was clean and had adequate space for all of use with fold out beds and cots. Kitchen was fully functional and stocked which was a huge bonus. It was also the 4th of July weekend so they were providing a fireworks show with cotton candy... More
