This is the place to stay in Escalante, whether you're a hiker, a car tourer, or just passing through. Catherine is a delightful host with a deep knowledge and appreciation for this beautiful part of the country. We very much appreciated her tips on the best hikes and bi-ways to explore. The Burr Trail road, suggested by her and which...

This is all that you hope a b&b is going to be. Catherine's welcome is delightful, the room was very comfortable and quiet, and you can sleep off the day's hiking, and all facilities are offered. The breakfasts are excellent, and Catherine's advice about eating out in Escalante, and about good hiking and sightseeing opportunities in the area, are second...

we where at Escalante for the last days of March 2016, we thought weather was going to be nice but suddenly temperature dropped to 24Fº with strong winds we where planning on doing the golden cathedral hike and coyote gulch so Catherine advised us about better suitable hikes for those days, she was so kind and full of important information,...

We spent Easter weekend at Rainbow Country and were delighted with our hosts and accommodations. Catherine and Clark welcomed us warmly into their home. We stayed in the basement in the Pioneer room with very comfortable beds and a nice big window, so it didn't feel like being in a basement. We never heard noise from any of the other...

We had the pleasure of staying at Rainbow Country B&B yesterday. We had a reservation glitch at another place, and called after finding ourselves without a place to stay after a long day of hiking. Cathy took us and our small dog in without any hesitation. We felt like we were treated like long lost friends. Our room/bathroom was spacious...

In this tiny town of about 20 houses and business, find Rainbow B & B. It was a comfortable homey room in the basement of a large country home. Breakfast was delicious and our hostess a delight. My most memorable part of our visit was the hummingbirds, dozens of them, that flitted from the bushes to her porch railings.

This is one of the best experiences we've had at a B&B. It was nice and quiet. Catherine greeted us warmly upon arrival. She was very helpful with information and suggestions about various places to see and eat. Our room was wonderful. It was spotless as was the bathroom. Breakfast was great, too. We hope to go back to see...

This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so I came into the experience with nothing to compare it to. I was very pleasantly surprised with the owner, Catherine, and the room that I had. I also had a private bathroom across the hall in the basement of the house, which was the only room down there...

It was the last place available in the town. Good for us because it was very comfortable. Close to town but so very quiet. Had a lovely room that was super clean and a bathroom. Had the best pumpkin pancakes for breakfast and eggs. Catharine sat with us and told us about the area. I loved her yard, very natural.

Much the same as all the other reviewers, I'll say the upsides are many. A quiet spot, a nice home with a gracious and friendly hostess. We stayed in a room with two twin beds and a private bath across the hall. The family room was nice though we were too tired to take much advantage except we sure used...
