Quick summary: this is a very comfortable stay in a unique lodging experience. Well-designed in both aesthetics and function. En suite private bathroom. Friendly, professional staff and service that can provide great local advice. Close to touring nature's wonders. We stayed five nights at this very comfortable, unique experience. Up front: I do NOT go camping, so I was a bit cautious when my husband booked the yurts. Thankfully, this lodging is definitely more glamour than camping. We stayed in the Ash yurt, which is spacious and has a very comfortable king bed and good pillows. The area is beautifully decorated, with an Eastern vibe (buddha painting; artsy coffee table in front of a sectional sofa. ) There is also a cafe table and two chairs; a serving credenza with a large assortment of Keurig coffees and teas. It is also well-kitted out with wine glasses, real coffee mugs (not paper cups,) plastic tableware, but also high quality knives with serrated edges. Microwave and fridge that has a good freezer for your cold packs. ...But it is a yurt. There are no closets or drawers to speak of, but luggage racks, and a few hooks here and there. Full bathroom has a spacious shower. The hotel has an eco-vibe, so the water pressure and flow were not impressive, but it was reasonable. Each yurt has its own hot water tank, so lots of hot hot water was readily available, i.e. you didn't have to let it run long to get hot water. Very good HVAC and complimentary wifi, which is kind of amazing for the area. Many amenities include robes, nice toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, body lotion), good towels and bed linens. Complimentary breakfast is delivered to your room the day before, so that you can microwave it at your leisure. Each morning has a rotating assortment of a to-be-heated item: quiche, breakfast burrito, or breakfast McMuffin-type sandwich; a muffin or quick bread; and demi-cup of assorted fresh fruit. All was very tasty. Due diligence: in a perfect world, there would be real half-and-half for the coffee, not non-dairy creamer. We rectified that easily by buying some from a grocery store in town, and stashing it in the fridge. Also: the floors could get cool, especially in the tiled bathroom. I'd bring slippers or a good pair of socks to keep your feet comfortable. Close to town for your assortment of needs. Close to touring the national parks and monuments in the area. Owner-managers are on the premises, and are great sources of information and guidance. They can also arrange for Jeep rentals, which we did very good experience. Of course we'd be delighted to stay again if we are in the area...and rent their jeeps!…
