Gateway Inn in Blanding is a handy overnight stop when approaching Canyon Lands and Arches Nat'l Parks from the south (after visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon for instance). We had a clean room with basic amenities and a pleasant staff making it a good stop. The facility itself is dated but well maintained. Coffee and light pastries are available for... More

After another hundred degree ride between Mesa Verde and Blanding, with a hot hike at Hovenweep, we were zapped so decided to get a room in Blanding. Checking in was a pleasant experience in itself. Derek was friendly and welcoming and the most courteous young man I've met in a long time! He was able to answer questions about distance... More

First the good bits or least better bits. Staff pleasant and good location and buffet breakfast was fine. Outside The hotel is very shabby and looks unclean. Carpets on walkways were trip hazards, dirty and torn. The ice machine on ground floor at the rear was filthy with standing dirty water and i would not use in a million years.... More

They advertise free wifi: wifi never connects. They advertise air-conditioning: it doesn't work. Rooms either get too hot or too cold. They advertise clean bathrooms: you will need to revisit the meaning of "CLEAN" They advertise safety and security: Room locks didn't work or were broken. They advertise great continental breakfast: if bread, butter, jam, cinnamon roll and coffee is... More

I stayed the on May 9, 2016 with a group. The rest of the group had hot water for their showers, however I did not. I called the front desk and the lady indicated that she couldn't do anything about it, which I understood. When I went to check out the manager still had not arrived. I ask if they... More

The worst motel of our trip. The WiFi could only be access by standing down near reception. Free Breakfast was another fail. It is hard to deal with 50 guests at once however other motels achieved it so this place should at least have tried. The mirror in the room was so old that 20% of the backing hard gone.... More

We were looking for an independent motel to stay in for the night. They're usually cheaper and often quaint. This one is badly in need of refurbishment. The building in the back is run down. We did have a comfortable bed so got a good night's sleep. Our main problem with our room was the outside door handle needed to... More

Your staff on the night of March 23, 2016 was very polite and nice. But not the morning staff on the 24th. Breakfast was just stale muffins and a loaf of bread, and coffee. No fresh fruits or yogurt or juices. The room was fine but nothing spectacular. Wifi signal was very weak. For $65 a night, please improve as... More

We rolled into Blanding heading North and were tired and ready to crash and eat. Stopped here and right off the bat you know its not gonna be a very good place. But heck, its Blanding. The room was awful. More like a hunters cabin. So out dated. I'm pretty easy to please hotel wise. But come on, seriously. 72.00... More
