The Baines House Bed & Breakfast is the place to stay in Salado,Texas. We stayed in the Seaberry Cottage in May of 2012 and was delighted with the space, decor, and the comfort. The Russell's attention to detail from the decor in the cottage to the breakfast and the afternoon tea made the weekend get-away extra special. The Russell's are...

I highly recommend Baines House Bed & Breakfast to anyone spending a night or two in Salado. We stayed in their "Seaberry Cottage", and could not have asked for a better cottage. The owner, Sheryl, prepared the best breakfast the two and a half days we were there. She was also very knowledgeable about any subjet that was brought up...

The owners are extremely rude. We stayed for our wedding and we very disappointed by there actions. We will never stay there again. The day we were supposed to check out we receive calls by the owner as if we were trying to leave without paying, tad if it wasn't stressful enough trying to finalize the details of the wedding...

When planning for company in your own home, you prepare food, coffee, place settings and seating for the number of guests you expect to come. If more people appear at the door, it may be hard for you to accommodate them gracefully and graciously. That was exactly our situation. People arrived who were not our registered guests and we were...

We enjoyed our stay at the Baines B&B. We happened to be the only ones there on a Sunday night. The cabins were spacious and comfortable. The gardens on the property are amazing! You never know what awesome sight awaits you as you follow the winding path around the property. The landscaping, including the pond, were inspired. I actually incorporated...

we actually live in Salado ... but happily travel just down the road when we need a getaway. Rod and Sheryl do such an amazing job of creating an artful oasis from the way they tailor their landscaping, to the individuality of each room/cabin, to the food that they serve. they are gracious and hospitable and always have a story...

I have now stayed here 4 times and the last 3 were at Christmas time. I made my Dec. 2013 reservation last December because I know they usually sell out far in advance. The last 3 visits I have stayed in the cottage on the back of the property and it is quiet and homey. The refrigerator has Coke and...

The Baines House B&B is our favorite girls weekend place to stay in Salado. My girlfriends and I have stayed there twice, always in the springtime. We love staying in the George Washington Baines main house, and enjoy sipping wine on the screened in porch each evening. Breakfast is fabulous and afternoon tea a real treat! We always meet fun...
