My daughter and I chose the treehouse room from pictures on the internet. I had stayed before at the Rose Mansion, but just thought to try something different. My mistake. No email reservation confirmation. When we arrived we overlooked the entrance because it was a small overgrown drive with a huge mud filled pot hole. It took two calls to...

My grandson and his wife are both in the military so I wanted to give them a special gift for their wedding night. They stayed in the Salado Haus on June 4, 2016. I had ordered a mixed bouquet of cut flowers for the cottage, but it was not there. I had told them before that my husband and I...

Loved every detail. The grounds ,cottage gardens, arbors and pathways were incredibly beautiful. The cottages are historic homes they brought in from other areas and restored with authentic architectural pieces of the time. There are hidden sitting venues everywhere with a pond with blooming water lilies and fish. I stayed in the Fredericksburg house that has sleeping for 3 and...

I loved the quite atmosphere and the overgrown plants. It keeps the cabins hidden from view just enough that you won't be seeing into the other cabins. I stayed in the Galveston House and I loved it. The breakfast was delicious and I loved that it was in my fridge so I could wake up when I wanted and enjoy...

My mom, sister & I stayed several nights in Salado. Our first bed & breakfast was horrible, so we got refunded & had to search for somewhere else to stay. I didn't think Stonecreek Settlement had a two bedroom, so hadn't checked with them. I called & they had exactly what we needed! We stayed in the Fredrickburg for 2...

Wonderful choice for a B&B in Salado. We stayed at the San Marcus. Nice bed, great jacuzzi bath. There is a shower. I had read reviews of another cottage that there isn't a shower... Breakfast is left in the micro fridge so you can eat at your leisure. Nice porch to sit on in the afternoon. Owners are nice. Didn't...

We stayed in the San Marcos Cottage. I picked it for a 'second honeymoon' when my husband returned from deployment in Iraq. I particularly remember how friendly and helpful the owners, Jill and Johnny Shipman were to me as I planned this weekend. They allowed me to peek in EACH of the cottages before I made my selection. There was...

My daughters and I planned a girl's weekend in Salado. We stayed in the Jefferson cottage. The pictures online were accurate but some items you just can't tell with a picture. I had called and was told we could check in at 2 - wrong. The cottage was not ready. The landscaping around the cottage would make you think it...

I had to think about this one awhile. First, I am always truly sorry when a guest leaves less than excited to come back. That is always our goal. We try to accommodate early check-in when we can. We were full the night before plus the guest arrived at 1:30. The room was not ready but I suggested that they...

My husband and I stayed in the San Marcos cottage for our wedding anniversary. The cottage was beautiful. We loved the rustic yet romantic decor. The large jacuzzi garden tub was an extra nice touch. And also enjoyed sitting on the back porch and sipping wine from the local winery in the evening. The bed was very comfortable and a...

What a cute little town and a cute little collection of cottages! My friend and I met halfway between our hometowns (Dallas/San Antonio) for a girls weekend. We stayed in the Fredericksburg cottage. It was delightful! The setup in this cottage was perfect for us as we each had our own sleeping/bathroom areas. We enjoyed walking around the property and...
