To any Rachel Ashwell follower this is a definite bucket list item. From the moment we walked in to the Meadow Manor the country music station had been left on to welcome us into the ambience. The place was just like the photos in the book, only better. The book has turned each and every cottage into a magical destination....

We loved the prairie. It was really nice and peaceful. The perfect place to get away from the city. We will go back again. The big, fluffy couch and bed were awesome. The scenery was great and so was the breakfast.

My husband and I were married at The Prairie a few years ago, and have since returned twice to celebrate our wedding anniversary. In fact, we were just there last weekend, and have also recommended it as a venue for friends' weddings and weekend getaways. They loved it! It is *perfect* and wonderful every time we go -- peaceful and...

As a Christmas gift to each other my sister and I booked a trip from California to Texas to stay at the Prairie by Rachel Ashwell. I hope this place never changes...this was my third time to stay at The Prairie. Kathy and Danny made a delicious breakfast and the Lilliput Lodge was spacious and cozy as usual. So quiet and peaceful. The rain on the tin roof was heaven. It is a perfect escape from the big city. Please never change...you are perfect. It was...

The Prairie is unbelievable. I left chicago for peace and quiet. I got that and more. The shabby cabin was like heaven on earth and forced me to chill out. The grounds are mesmerizing. The folks there are of the special kind. Built a fire. Looked at the stars. Drank a little. Perfect Head into town for the same feeling...

My wife and I got married at the Prairie last month, and it could not have been a more ideal location. Kathy and Danny and the rest of staff went out of their way to provide our guests and us with the perfect weekend---true Texas hospitality in a beautiful setting. We had an outdoor wedding on the lawn behind Rangers'...

Setting...Picturesque. The Cornflower Cottage...beautiful, charming, cozy (all of the things a cottage should be). The only bad thing about The Prairie is having to leave. Special thanks to Kathy for giving our stay a personal touch. To saying nothing of her killer breakfasts! Will return to the Prairie again!

We could not have imagined a more perfect anniversary. We stayed in The Faith Cottage and don't let the small size of it scare you away, there was plenty of room with all the amenities, they thought of everything. The bed was comfy with huge fluffy pillows and comforter (save your pennies and you can buy these for yourself). The...
