Detailed Reviews
This is a Beautiful natural spot with clear water lake. It is perfect for camping with family and friends. The location has plenty of picnic tables and grills that you can use, so remember to bring charcoal, food and beverages. People said it's safe to swim, but I did not feel like that because there're many rock under the water, so I just step down to the river to take pictures.

There have been price adjustments and other changes that guarantee we will only visit on a weekday. The two times we visited this summer were on a Monday and Friday and both times it was lightly populated. I've seen pictures of there on the weekend and I wouldn't deal with that crowd even if covid wasn't a thing.
I like that there are ample picnic benches (free for use Mon-Fri) and adequate parking, but accessing the water can have it's difficulties. There are shallow & deep spots along with large boulders to rest on.
Staff drives around frequently and it's necessary as we were near a group of young men who were vulgar and not considerate of others around them. The rules are simple too: no pets, no glass, no music.

Great location for hanging out with family. Picnic tables have plenty of shade. Reasonable rental fees on life vests, rafts, kayaks and tubes. Friendly staff members. Bring all your supplies - there’s few amenities anywhere nearby. The water is fresh and clean.

It is ridiculous how they will not have a vehicle fee separate from people camping out there. They charge a fee as if you are staying on one of their camp grounds when you only paying to park. They definitely need to work on meeting the needs of just extra vehicles and not the ridiculous fees they have for cars.

Must say, my family and I been to other parks, by far Paradise Canyon(PC) meet much more that higher paying parks. For ex, the parks restroom facility are extraordinarily clean, cooled at 68, excellent changing rooms, remarkable clean floors. Additionally, PC has a marvelous venue that can accommodate100+ invitees. Great for family reunions or fundraisers and has a performing stage. Must visit!! Recommendation's for victors to expect: No WI-FI, Arrive early for essential parking (Handicap), Expect dust (it is remote and NOT a resort), Always be kind to staff, DO NOT Block traffic (be considerate), Pick-up YOUR trash (there is a dumpster), and Be kind to everyone-even if they are not.
Let me know if you visit!! Enjoy!

It was a good start. Pretty tranquil they say no music box put some people had there’s and the also said no pets. But once we got there I saw 2 dogs. And one person on a bike. I don’t think it’s fair to pick and choose what rules they want to in force. There was a patoon boat that some white kids where jumping off of but once my nephew and daughter started jumping they said there was No jumping from there. But 1 hour later some more kids started jumping from there. . Pick and choose. I tell you. And I never here of charging for showers. Like a car wash. I do not recommend this place.

It’s a shame that they are resorting to scamming people instead of being honest and shifting the dynamic of the park. Just to be clear, THERE IS NO WATER! It’s still a gorgeous place to explore, but I wish they would have just been real instead of hiding behind a vague description that states “the water levels may not be accurate to the photos”. There is no water to level lol, and the water that remains is definitely not safe to swim in. We had to go to new braunfels to save some of my partners birthday.

We paid $30 for a big tube which holds 4 adult people and up to 5 children, we spent most of the time in the river, and the place it's beautiful. They offer military discount as well. There are a lot of things to do there, here it's the link to their website for more information:

I camped here with my family- 3 teens and 1 2 year old. It was a nice stay. The owners were very hospitable. The place used to be surrounded by water but is currently dried up. They do sill have a deep swimming hole though.
Thee was plenty of exploring to do via walking and climbing. We also saw a bit of wildlife. The grounds were very clean and they did have hot water in their showers although they are outdoors- which was kind of cool anyway,
They also rent cabins and have a lodge for rent and private events. I'd definitely go back once the waters flowing.

+1

Cool waters to swim in with shaded picnic tables nearby. But also has those secluded areas where you hear nothing but moving water and nature, perfect for immersing your body in the river and waiting for the sun to set.
