Hotel has old and rustic decor. Location is easy to walk to all of Historic New Braunfels. Faust brewing co. located in hotel offered authentic German food and some good craft beers. Room was OK . Furniture in room was soiled. Room was small. There is plenty of parking behind the hotel.

Stayed two nights here, really liked it. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was small (as advertised), but was very comfortable and nicely updated. The historic building is very beautiful and nicely restored. The best part was the on-site brewery and bar...great beer selection and tasty brews! The restaurant was good too, huge portions. Met the owners also, and...

I stayed at this hotel with my friends. Something within the older rooms gave us some rough breathing issues for over a month. We were both coughing for over a month from this hotel and that says something considering we are both in our late 20s and healthy. I would rate this hotel zero stars if trip advisor would allow...

This hotel is very old, but very unique. If you can get over the small rooms and lack of water pressure, this place is a nice alternative to a Best Western. If you're into adventure and something different, this hotel is kinda groovy like that. I would prefer to stay somewhere unique over your run of the mill hotel and...

So sadly disappointed in what could have been a nice little getaway. Only living an hour away (in nearby Austin area) I had passed this old, historic-era hotel for a decade or so, but had never had the occasion to spend the night in New Braunfels until last night, when a great band (shoutout to Zach Walther Band who played...

This is the worst hotel in the USA that I have ever stayed in. The rooms are much smaller than they appear in the pictures. The bathroom is so small that you have to straddle the toilet to wash your hands. ( I am not exaggerating). Customer service is terrible. We stayed for 6 nights and on the last two...

Friends invited us on a anniversary road trip to New Braunfels and through the Texas Hill Country. The Faust Hotel was our "home base" for the weekend. I had been intrigued with this old hotel from previous trips to NB, so I was thrilled to go there with 3 other couples. It is a lovely hotel. Not perfect, but perfectly...

I give them credit for bringing this place back to life but they have a way to go. Window units make it look low class. Lots of history though. A definite throw back to the 30s. Rooms are small but that can't be fixed...it's just how they built them back then. Not a bad place but just ok.

Would never comeback or recommend. Would not just write that without merit either. Rooms small& old- but not charming - online pictures extremely misleading, the rooms were dirty as well, there were hairs on our walls. The room smelled like mold (& most definitely was moldy)& the beds were horrible. The staff was kind of rude as well. I hate...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Since coming under new ownership in July 2009, there has been a great deal of effort put towards restoring The Faust Hotel & Brewing Company to its original luxury and grandeur. The project has been extensive and is still in progress, but many changes and upgrades can be found throughout the entire property. Our newly redesigned guest suites feature 1920's Art Deco design while incorporating modern amenities including:Wireless Internet, Flat Screen Televisions, Refrigerators, Microwaves, Keurig Coffee Makers, Brita Pitchers. In addition to our guest suites, we have a variety of accommodations to suit your needs including rooms with 1 or 2 double beds, queen and king size beds. The brew pub has something to please everyone in your party: Flat screen TVs, darts, live music, trivia and the comforting surroundings of a classic brauhaus. The Faust Brewing Company now features an array of house brews, including Faust Golden Ale, Altered States German Altbier and Mike Crowe IPA, as well as a variety of seasonal favorites. Leading the production is Ray Mitteldorf, a professional brew master with 17 years experience. For a complete experience, the pub has recently launched its new tapas-style menu, created by Chef Chris Kilisz. His exclusive menu features items specifically designed for sharing and pairing with the pub’s own microbrews: their signature dish, the Faust Wellington, Mini Dogs topped with sauerkraut, sautéed bell peppers and onions and spicy mustard, and German Nachos, to name a few. Just as the pub isn’t limited to beer (there’s liquor and wine, too), the menu isn’t limited to German-inspired options: it boasts a broad spectrum of international cuisine with dishes such as the Croque Monsieur, Souvlaki Skewers, Proscuitto Caprese Bruschetta, and Cochanitas. ... more   less
