Reviews summary

Gran Oasis Resort is celebrated for its array of amenities, with guests often highlighting its suitability for families and the diverse food and drink options. The spacious and clean rooms are well-liked, although a few guests feel the decor could be refreshed. While the serene location is praised for its proximity to attractions, some visitors find it inconveniently far from town centers. Opinions on value vary, with the all-inclusive package receiving kudos from some but others pointing out extra costs. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, bolstered by engaging entertainment, yet a few areas could benefit from a boost in ambiance. Service is predominantly commended for its friendliness and efficiency, though there are occasional mentions of service shortcomings. Cleanliness is consistently recognized as a strong point, with meticulous housekeeping contributing to the overall positive experience.

A standard €25 transfer from the airport in around 15 mins. Quick efficient check in. It’s a small resort but there are lots of step. Real clean rooms nice big bathroom only thing we found was a limited amount of hot water especially at peak times. Bed were comfortable and clean. Maids remade beds and changed towels daily. Rooms have nice balconies and living spaces. There is a small supermarket onsite and it’s reasonably priced. We only had breakfast inc but there we
As lots of choice and all really nice quality. We did eat lunch a couple of times at the pool bar and food was great salads were huge. Big pools that are definitely heated great that you can’t reserve beds we didn’t have a problem but in high season it could be an issue. Lots of activities and a great spa on site. The only thing we found was that to buy drinks we needed a special room card as you couldn’t use cash which caused some confusion. Great facilities for late flights. There is nothing near by buy free bus during the day and fixed price €6 to town. We would definitely return both as a group and with family

We booked this hotel knowing that it was a family hotel but did not realise how many young children would be there at this time of year. Don't get this wrong, we have no objection to children on holiday and we love to see them enjoying themselves around the pool but, in order to have enough sunbeds to accommodate the families, the pool area was very crowded. Therefore, on checking in, our first impression was that we may have made a mistake in booking here. However, this impression was dispelled when we got to our room. It was a lovely duplex with beautiful bedrooms on both floors, a kitchen area upstairs, bathroom downstairs (no bath, but a great shower) a balcony upstairs and a terrace downstairs (both real sun traps). We spent most of our stay here on the terrace, reading, as it provided a lovely atmosphere and surroundings for doing so and also because we found that it was difficult negotiating the sunbeds which were very close together around the pool areas. If we had known what the rooms were like and the views available before we checked in, we would have probably upgraded to a room (such as 100) with a view of the golf course and the pool area but we were highly delighted with our room (140). We had only a couple of niggles - the bed mattress we found to be very hard and both my wife and I woke in the mornings with bad backs and also the air conditioning unit was noisy (it sounded as if something was trying to get out of it most of the night). The housekeepers did a fantastic job of keeping the rooms clean and, in fact, all the staff are friendly (especially with the kids) and helpful. There was entertainment each evening which was quite loud but stopped around 10pm so it didn't disturb people who were back in their rooms relaxing at this time. The hotel seems to have a good environmental policy with recycling bins around general areas and also provided sanitisers for the use of people worried about the virus (although we didn't see any evidence of masks or barriers anywhere on the island at any time during our stay. In fact, the only time we saw anybody worried was at Manchester Airport where three people were wearing silly, useless masks). The food in the hotel was tasty, well cooked and there was a large variety every day. The only downside was that, being a buffet, a lot of the food was almost cold after the first hour of opening the restaurant. The safes are located at the Reception area and that is one thing that I didn't really like as I like to be able to check the contents on a daily basis and, if I forgot to get something I needed, it entailed a walk back to Reception to get it instead of just accessing the safe in our room. I was surprised, therefore, to see that a safe was actually in the room but it wasn't operational. One thing to note for those with difficulty walking is that the hotel is at the top of a steep hill. There is a shuttle service to the main shopping area (near the Mediterranean Palace hotel) and also to Siam Mall, but these are very infrequent so you have to plan your shopping day carefully. We usually take our Tenerife holidays in the Adeje area but we would certainly not be averse to using a hotel in this area agin and would probably choose the Gran Oasis if that was the case.

We spent a week at the Gran oasis resort with our 23 year old daughter and had a great time. Apart from the last day, which proved too windy for sunbathing, the weather was unseasonably hot during the day which we loved although it could get cool once the sun went down.
The staff here are probably the friendliest we have encountered in all the years we have holidayed abroad! They just can't do enough to help.
The food was typical all inclusive buffet fare, and we always found something we liked. The salad bar was very good.
As has already been said in other reviews the hotel is a 20 minute walk to the main resorts. We were ok with this, always enjoyed the walk and got a taxi back. ( 5 or 6 euros )
Maybe because of the time of year we never had a problem getting sun beds which was a bonus. Also, as non- smokers, we found the no smoking round the pool rule to be a welcome change. For smokers there are designated smoking areas.
The rooms like the rest of the hotel were kept spotless, and the bathroom had a good walk in shower with plenty of water pressure. The only down side to the room for us was the fold away bed. We booked as 3 adults to one apartment which consisted of a double bed and 1 fold away. The fold away would be ideal for anyone up to the age of maybe 13 or 14, but as an adult I didn't sleep well at all (Resulting in me snoring by the pool apparently!)
All in all a great holiday and I can recommend this hotel to anybody.

When the Canaries got the air bridge we booked the Gran Oasis. This is a big hotel spread out on a big plot of land next to a golf course, about a mile inland yet you can see the sea in the distance.
From a covid perspective they did very well, masks for all guests and staff in or out, unless seated, sun bathing or swimming, and hand sanitiser stations all over the place.
The room we had, and I assume most are like was a duplex apartment, with a nice kitchen and lounge upstairs and a very good sized bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The dining area was fine, buffet style and well spaced seating, and plenty of staff clearing tables, while outside there is 3 pools and plenty of sun beds. Only one outside bar open due to the current situation but they worked it well and were generous with the measures for an all-inclusive, and very good wi-fi throughout the resort be that inside or out!
We couldn't fault any of the staff, the "be happy" motto went from reception to cleaning staff. It was also good to see security staff patrol the grounds at night, who were able to deal with those causing issues to others with immediate effect yet in a good manner!
The only downside for us was no safe in the room (although the resort did seem very secure) and the quality of the food; the breakfast really didn't suit us, lunch was fine and sometimes quite good, but at dinner time we struggled a bit. We walked to the beach at Los Cristianos a few times (about 30 minutes) and took a taxi when we went out at night, which costs around €5 each way.
Overall great value even with going out to eat a few nights, and a good enough experience to return if we come back to Tenerife in the future.

This is a good hotel-clean, spacious & friendly, efficient staff who always gave service with a smile. The food provided was varied with a different theme each night and snacks for all inclusive at various times through the day. It looked beautiful at night, with pretty lights decorating the trees. We knew the hotel was situated a little out of the way and had lots of steps to reach the rooms. The location was solved by the courtesy bus which we used several times to go down into Playa de las Americas and some taxis. We did have a problem getting to Siam mall one day using taxis. Reception very patiently called a taxi 3 times for us and when one turned up after about 30 minutes, we were unexpectedly charged a little under 10 euros by the driver who took the scenic route around the resort, almost back to the hotel before taking us (wrongly)to Siam park, rather than the mall. The taxi back cost about half the price. It wasn’t the hotels fault, but we felt slightly conned by the first driver. In the whole we enjoyed our stay but the number of steps really were a challenge (more handrails please!) and the duplex apartments didn’t suit us as a family of 3 adults. We had a 2 bedroomed family duplex suite but only the lower bedroom had any bedroom furniture. The double wardrobe was half length and only had 10 hangers in what was supposed to be for 4 people. The open plan upstairs bedroom had no storage (there was a unit below the tv but it was an empty box, no shelves or drawers and we used it to put our suitcases in) even though there was ample space for a wardrobe, drawers or a mirror etc. It also had no privacy, being open to the kitchen. As a lot have mentioned, the stairs in the duplex are quite dangerous too. For this reason, we sadly wouldn’t come back to this particular hotel. However, if you are fine with steps and don’t mind being a little out of resort this is a great place to stay.

This was a couples retreat to get some winter sun. We had an enjoyable stay with an all inclusive package. We enjoyed freshly prepared food with a different cuisine every night during our week stay. We were amazed at how good the food was and benefitted from having the all inclusive package. There was no need to go out for a meal as the food was very delicious.
Drinks by the pool with local Red, White, Rosé and Beer on tap to enjoy. We also had access to two bars with cocktails and sangria.

There was easy access to two pools (smaller heated pool and a larger cooler pool) and Gym. There are plenty of sun beds available for all the guests.
The hotel does not allow you to reserve a sun bed and will take the towels away and leave them at reception to provide an equal opportunity for all the guests.

There is a timetabled free shuttle bus into town from Monday to Saturday and one to Siam park at 9.30am and pick up at 5pm from Siam Park.

The staff are very friendly and are always happy to help with a motto “be happy”. The reception team were amazing, helping us with taxis and booking a car hire. They helped us with issues we had with the room in an understanding manner and quick to solve most of the problems.

We stayed in a Junior Suite away from the Pool with a sea view from the first floor balcony and next to the main stairs which takes you down to the pool areas.
The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen everyday.

Unfortunately the claim of “Sound Proof Rooms” is not applicable at this hotel. We could hear the next door family like they were in the room with us, and the noise of people going up and down the steps outside.
The bed was two broken singles placed together which made our sleep challenging. We brought ear plugs to reduce the noise which should not be needed when you are on holiday.

There was evening entertainment which was aimed at families. This is very much a family resort and would only be suitable for families with young children. If the hotel could provide an adults only side of the hotel, this would benefit them a lot. The other option would be if the hotel invested money into sound proofing their rooms, this would reduce complaints and would improve guests stay completely.

Just returned from another great break at the Gran Oasis resort. The staff as always make your holiday as they go above and beyond to ensure a relaxing time. From Joanna on reception who assisted us on a couple of occasions to the restaurant and bar staff who are so helpful and professional. Thank you Loui, Sante, Miguel, Hose, and the rest of the team. Not forgetting Renatta who made us feel very comfortable, knowing the efforts her and colleagues go to. As others have said, the hotel have to adhere to the current restrictions, with face masks, distancing and hand sanitizer everywhere. Added to this the fact that guests arriving had to come with a negative test , as we did, was reassuring.

The food was of good quality as there was always something fresh on the griddle and was cooked to order as there so few guests at the time. We really appreciated the efforts the chefs were taking.

There are as also pointed out by others, many migrants in the hotel across the road, we never had any concerns, having walked past several times. I wouldn't let this put you off going.
All in all I would highly recommend and look forward to returning!
My only negative are the covers on the balconies. they block the view and the sun, two selling points we would prefer to have rather than sitting in an iron cage. It would be so much better if we could see the beautiful views.

Dear Sam M! Thank you very much for taking the time to write this fantastic review about our hotel, we are so happy to see you enjoyed your time with us and we are so grateful for your kind words. The covers in the balconies are put there becuase it was demanded from one of the tour operators we work with on security concerns. However, we will take your suggestion to the management as it is very important to us to know what our clients want and feel. On behalf of all the staff in The Gran Oasis we want to send you a big hug and we hope to have the fortune to see you again with us in the future =). Thank you Kindest regards Be Happy Team

This hotel really is fab! When we first arrived I was a little disappointed as the hotel is about 20-25 mins walk to las Américas centre, and there’s not much around the hotel, BUT... after the way the staff are with you, nothing is too much trouble for them, we realised actually this is a gem of a hotel, food was fabulous too, it was a different theme every night, e.g, Mexican, Italian, Spanish.
The duplex suite we stayed in was cleaned daily, it was spotless, the suites were very spacious, the hotel grounds were kept very clean and were very well kept, staff were always watering plants, washing down around the pools and wiping down the sun beds daily.
The hotel supplies a free shuttle bus to Siam park, and if you want to go shopping.
There was entertainment on at the hotel in the evening also sometimes entertainment in the day time, like a fashion show, where you can buy clothes, also on Thursdays they do a foam party in the pool and a bbq.
My husband and myself both celebrated our birthdays while there, and because the hotel photo copy your passport, they know when your birthday is, so when you go for dinner, they come to your table and sing happy birthday and bring you a little cake with a candle, you also get a card in your room telling you to hand in at the bar where you get given either a bottle of red/white wine or cava, which I thought was a lovely touch!
I absolutely loved it here and I’m looking at booking again for next year!

I stayed at the resort mid septmeber for 5nights all inclusive , during covid.
I will start by saying this one of the best all inclusives I have stayed at.
The hotel/ resort is beautiful presented and decorated, and at night the trees are all lit up with fairy lights.
Upon arrival check in was a little tricky due to the printing of forms etc, but this was to be expected with covid protocols in place.
The staff were so polite and could not be more accommodating, from helping with printing of return to UK forms, to prompt fixing of appliances- our air con unit stopped working and within 5mins of calling reception, maintenence were there fixing it. Thank you to the staff you are a credit to the hotel/complex.

The rooms: the rooms are appartmemt duplexs, they were spacious, modern and clean, with all mod cons, bedrooms are downstairs with the kitchen/ living room being upstairs and you have a pull out bed option too.

Food & drink:
The food was plentiful! There was so much choice from local dishes, a range of meats, vegetarian dishes, salads, fresh fruit, pasta and each night was themed too which was a good idea as you are not eating the same dish every night.
There was a good selection of all inclusive drinks, and the measures were even better...

The resort is situated 30mins walk from Las Americas main strip or 5euros in a taxi ( which reception can call for you).
As we stayed during covid there was no night entertainment, which was a miss but again can't be helped- we just jumped in a taxi to the main strip for some cheesy music bars etc.... There was also restrictions in place like mask wearing but this was the same all over the island, and the hotel followed the Islands requirements, with hand sanitizers in place also.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and I can see why people choose to return to such a lovely place. It is like a home from home! Thank you to management and staff you are all doing a fantastic job

We have just returned from a week stay at this hotel and couldn’t have been happier with it. The hotel was spotlessly cleaned we had a very spacious 2 floor apartment that was cleaned by a maid everyday. The food was fresh and cooked in front of you and we found very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel has excellence free WiFi signal. The pools were great for the children they especially enjoyed the Thursday foam party and bbq. The hotels free bus service to the centre of las Américas was excellent we used many times and was always on time. Can’t fault this hotel and we come to Tenerife and have stayed at many different 4 star hotels around this area and this is our favourite and we plan on returning ASAP.
