We booked with an online-booking company and secured a non-refundable room for a busy weekend. We were assigned a smoking room, which was very smoky.....the woman at reception told me that the only way we could have gotten non-smoking was if we booked with them directly.

We stopped at this hotel restaurant for a late lunch after a long day of travel to visit where my husband was stationed while in the U.S. Army - Dexheim and surrounding towns. We were impressed with the cozy and quaint atmosphere and the immediate personal service here. We were seated by Berna in a window seat overlooking the patio... More

My experience in this hotel was good, small but clean rooms, what I enjoyed the most was the view from my room, even though it hadn't had a balcony, just to look out and be able to observe the calm of the river was so relaxing! Great view from the restaurant as well. Kind staff and good food.

We booked the hotel via hotels.com - not good. We got room no. 10 - two single beds and a very small room without any space and view. Well reputated restautant but very much german style. Breakfast very good - 19 euro per person.

I stayed here recently during a motorcycle trip through Germany with my girlfriend; it was not my first stay. I continue to return to this place because of the owners and their commitment to providing an outstanding experience. The restaurant serves gourmet food with excellent wine pairings, in a setting of your choice (patio, formal/fancy or casual). The hosts’ (owners’)... More

This hotel has a beautiful location at the border of the Rhine. Although Nierstein doesn't have an attractive scenery , The hotel gives a cozy feeling. The rooms where big a clean. The bedding was a disaster. Pity, because that should be the mean reason to stay somewhere. It was some kind of sofa bed. To small, to hard. There... More

I wanted to write this review some months ago, because I was so impressed by the hospitality at this hotel. We flew in to Frankfurt with our bikes and cycled to the hotel, arriving much later than anticipated. We were exhausted and hungry. We didn't hold out much hope of obtaining a good meal this late, and we were really looking... More

Stayed one Saturday night in spacious (deluxe) room. Large en suite with Jacuzzi corner bath and separate shower. Corner windows overlooking the Rhine (nice view on sunny morning) but also main road. Provision of free earplugs beside bed was ominous, but Saturday night probably meant reduced commercial traffic and electrically operated window shutters reduced noise to acceptable level. No air... very noisy main road (B9) in front of the hotel, cars and trucks thundering by throughout the night, sleep impossible. Smallest bathroom I have ever seen (my downstairs loo is larger !!) unbelievably the shower cubicle had a full height window to the bedroom. How bizarre is this ?? Room was 100 Euros. I would rather have thrown my money... More

My wife and I live 10km from Nierstein so we are only patrons of the restaurant. We have never been disappointed and have never had any reason to complain about the food, wine or service. The Chef has a wonderful imagination and his creations are a pleasure for the eyes, stomach and, dare I say, wallet. For an Englishman, try... More
