Charming bedroom in renovated historic farmhouse, mixing old wood beams with modern comfort, beautiful and large bathroom, very quiet environment removed from main traffic, surrounded by green fields and an old mill nearby. Excellent service.

Beautiful farmhouse set in lovely countryside. A little word of warning though: it may resemble a " Chambres d'hôte", but we found it as impersonal as a large hotel. There was no real welcome, and no interaction with or any interest/suggestions from the people running the establishment......contrary to what we have experienced in many similar situations in France. Lovely place...

Hello, we are happy that you enjoyed the Domaine. However it is a "maison d'hôte" at the Manoir only, because the owner lives there, but not a "chambre d'hôte" because there is no common area like a living room or a kitchen. So sometimes it can be difficult to meet the guest except at the reception where Charlotte, the owner...

A calm, charming, comfortable, cosy country cottage. Our room was oversized with its own couch and coffee table and the bed was soft! We liked the bathroom even more: it was spacious and had a sort of beautiful Marat-like hip bath! Ideally located away from Biarritz hustle, Domaine de Bassour definitely is worth the try all the more so as...

We stayed here as a family in July 2016 in an apartment across the road and it really suited our configuration with lots of space. Breakfast was available in the main house - traditional local bill of fare and an additional 11 euro per person. The apartment was in an old house but it was tastefully presented and had a...

Thanks a lot for your comment. We are happy that you enjoyed the Domaine, and your appartment. The location is, it's true, very good, because we are really close to everything, but in a quiet area, which is a privilege in such a busy season. Maybe we'll see you again soon. Have a very nice summer. Anne

I just spent five nights here. The property was beautiful and charming. The room was well appointed and overflowing with character. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was splendid. The clawfoot bathtub next to the wooden beams of this old restored basque home was just stunning. The only compliant was the wifi. Not that good. The hostess was kind...

Thanks a lot for your comment, we are very happy that you appreciate the hotel and our efforts to make you feel as comfortable and welcome as if you were at home. Sorry about the wifi though, we are trying to change the operator, because sometimes when lots of guests are connected in the same time it can be a...

Nice old farmhouse, charming, but will all the necessary comfort. Superb beds. Very clean. Good breakfast. Location is a bit remote so you need a car. Missing a bit of the personal touch with the owner which would really top off the experience. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Thanks a lot for your comment. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the Domaine. We are 5 minutes driving from Bidart Beach but as well in the countrysidfe and far from the noise and the traffic, so that is an advantage as well for a quiet and pleasant stay. We are waiting to see you again...

We stayed here on a stop over on route to southern Spain. We really enjoyed our short stay, in this charming hotel. The furnishings were very stylish, the bathroom just beautiful and bed soooo comfortable.... Service excellent and continental breakfast was a feast. One point to note, the carpets are quite rustic and a little rough on bear foot... So...

The hotel is a fantastic place to make your base with small town Bidart just a few kilometers away and Biarritz 8k. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly priding themselves on there home made breakfast. A new road roundabout has just been built which will make the hotel quieter from road noise on a night.

This is a beautiful building which has been renovated with great care to make it very charming. Our room was very nice and clean and had a hospitality tray (tea & coffee, free) and a mini bar. There was no air conditioning and if you had the window open it was quite noisy due to a great amount and speed...

You have to read the Letter from Charlotte and History of the Farm on the hotel's own website to truly appreciate the heart that has gone into this place. The owners have poured their passion for all things eco-friendly and tastefully designed into their renovated properties to make a stay here unforgettable. Having met Charlotte, they are lovely people, too....
